When I saw them with green day he was using a Paiste crash/ride and zildjian hats. Good band by the way :thumb:

They look pretty ancient and smooth, like the vintage A's I used to play... probably an A Medium ride. I would doubt it's a Sweet ride... it doesn't look overly big, resembles the 18" A crash ride I used to use.

Yeah I noticed the A, can't tell what kind of A though.

I saw them live and he uses the same cymbal on their DVD. He uses it as a crash/ride, although it sounds amazing

lol, why would you even reply, you reply to so many threads where you don't contribute

I think it definitely is Zildjian, I think I can see the top of it. Definitely email them if you really want to know or if he is sponsored by Zildjian email them, I'm sure they would be happy to tell you

I say Earth ride.

Dookiedude3005

Its not paiste. It has zildjian on it

I know it's not Paiste at this particular show he playing, i'm talking when I saw them at gillette stadium, the drummer was using paiste ride and zildjian hats, he also used a really nice gretsch set at gillette too. He probably switches between what ever is lying around since they're on tour. So after the show in the picture, he could be using a different ride at the next show.

It's impossible to keep up with all the gear drummer's go through on tour, i saw Tre cool using a boshporus cymbal at one show and using a sweet ride instead of a deep ride at another show.

I thought the earth rides were way darker colored than that

anyways my vote goes to sweet ride but i dunnoBecause they don't clean them when they leave he factory, if you get the soot and crap off of them they are nearly normal colored. If not an Earth ride though, it's a Rock ride. Those are the only ones it could be imo.

I'd say Rock ride.

The last pic that someone posted one here, if you enlarge the text and flip it, I'm almost certain it says "A Rock" and I think it actually says crash under that, but I can't be sure. It looks way too small to me to be a ride, though (looks like it's a 16er).

okay, for some reason it won't post upside-down, but you get the idea..

EDIT: to me it LOOKS like an 18" A crash ride

I always thought earth rides were heavily hammered. No, they look practically completely smooth.

As far as the text, it looks to me like it has 4 letters on top, I would think either Rock ride or a bigger Rock crash.

Massik Kretal

I say it's a Crash Ride A Series for certain.

I'm kinda surprised that Against Me! played with Green Day...Green Day being liberal and Against Me! being Anarchists, with a song that includes the phrase "You're a spineless liberal"

Maybe this was pre-American Idiot and Green Day suddenly being political

Good music is good music regardless of some stupid political stance.

I have their DVD, and they played with some bands they hated, at one show Tom locked Taking Back Sunday in their dressing room. I'm not exactly sure why they played with Green Day. They probably just did it because they could.

I hate "anarchists" :( By that i mean these kids who think anarchy is cool and will mean they can go and do whatever they like because theres no rules or laws. I beleive anarchy would be a naturally evolved state stemming from communism where there would be no need for rules because everyone would be equal. No smashing the state blah blah blah, it would just eventually grow to not need law. However there'll always be a few powerhungry douches who want power. So hence, anarchy can never work.

Personally im a nihilist

Why is he using that ****ty *** pearl export or whatever it is? When I saw them with Anti-Flag in '04, he had this killer looking(and sounding) Gretsch kit that made me want to buy one.. and I still want to buy one...
