my bass is a 22fret medium scale bass. is that average?

Standard is 34".
Long scale is 35" or more.

Generally 5+ string basses have 35" necks. This is done to avoid the low strings from flapping which can happen on a 34" neck.

standard scale= 34"
long scale =35"
medium scale(what u have)= 32"
short scale= 31" or below the most common being 30"


personally i think that medium scale is the best of both worlds i lovem. in fac t when i get enough money im strongly considering paying a little extra for a 32" scale warwick.
