A burning sensation may be a part of muscle development, and it may be an injury. Only you or someone there could tell the difference, so the internet fails again.
Try this: do sit-ups or pushups until you can't do any more. Does the sensation you feel after those excersizes resemble that which is in your hand, or is it distinctly different? If it is the same, you're probably developing muscles, and you're safe to continue playing whatever you were playing until you feel pain. If it's different, I would suggest not playing until the burning goes away -- if it burns for longer than a day, or goes away and comes back immediately when you try to play bass again, you may want to see a doctor.

I would rest, if it doesn't stop then perhaps see a doctor.

You might get a blister. If this happens, don't slap until the blister completely heals. If you slap with a blister, it will hurt like hell, but more importantly you could develop a deep-tissue injury that will not simply go away with time like a blister will.

I'm sure the rules state that we can't give medical advice of something, so if I were you and was worried about it, I'd ask an expert :thumb:

If you feel any type of pain in your hand, you should stop immediately, or you could do permanent damage to your hand. Try playing differently and stay loose, don't tense up, as that will cause more pain in your hand. Playing loosley will also lower the chances of arthritis when you get older.

It's the way the guy worded the thread.
He's been doign some "stuff" that has bene making his hand work really hard.
It's the way it was hidden. So many out-cums. Out-comes even.
Anyway. Six, do you have msn/yim/aim?

Its just the muscle isnt strong enough. The burning should go away in about a minute. Then you should do the excercise again to build the muscle in your hand.
