Go and listen to all the GHS you can, because it rocks.

And then play Afterimage by Rush, since you need the low B for that.

Try "Home" by Three Days Grace. Its done on a four string in CGCF tuning, and one of the riffs is a bitch to do on a 5 string in BEADG, having to root a finger on 1st fret of B, then move up the neck, then to a new string etc. Whoo!

Check out some Dream Theater songs, they're pretty cool, i dunno if you need a 5 string for dance of eternity but its a well cool riff anyways

Dream theater, mostly all of the 6 string songs can be played on 5. (Instrumedley, Metropolis, Dance Of Eternity)

311 has some nice groove to them.

If you want you can tune your low B to a C and play drop C songs on, or if your up for it leave it in standard and play drop C songs.

just because it is easy to play doesn't mean it will be a bad song, I enjoy the song some what:cool:

the guitar group has an official 7 string thread, i request a 5 string bass thread, or a list of songs wrtitten for a 5. I am also aware that you can simply transpose a 4 string song down to a five, however, a thread with that relates to 5 strings would be cooool! like what to do with floppy B's and different string gauges, string spacing, speakers that handle low B's well, etc..
