Could someone reccomend a couple of easier jazz songs on guitar? I want to start learning some jazz songs, but everything i listen to seems pretty complex, so any reccomendations on where to begin?

Girl from Ipanema is what I'm starting with.

If you don't have any experience with rhythm, it'll throw you for a loop (as it did with me), but otherwise it's simple.

Autumn Leaves and All the Things You Are. Both are chock full of standard songbook cliches, and they are great tunes for getting the sound in your ear. Learn a rhythm changes and a blues as well.

tune-up, and my favorite...sugar...though sugar isn't so easy unless you are good with rhythms.

Sugar's a great tune. We do that one in small groups.

You don't need to play Jazz on a Jazz bass... Hoping you know that.
