I just came accross this funny story whilst surfing the net, there's some good one liners. Apparently it's a hoax though, though I thought it was all quite plausable :upset:.

lmao, you thought it was plausible? I doubt Carter Beauford is one to accidentally hit himself in the eye with a drumstick, much less actually have it lodge into his head.

It says April 1 at the top, I would assume that would tip people off.

he went to the hospital during a solo and was trying to get back fast so he could finish it? yea thats not plausible

"When Mr. Beauford came in I was concerned by the possibility of a central corneal wound--I've never had to remove a drumstick from an eye socket before. He was in such a hurry to get back to the studio to 'finish his solo.' I'm not sure he was aware of how serious the trauma was."

When asked how Beauford was as a patient, Beshara said, "Mr. Beauford was very uncooperative, repeating over and over that the solo wasn't over yet, and that he was going to fix it with some techniques he had picked up from NILE drummer Pete Hammoura."

That was great I thought! those two had me laughing like crazy.

"The film Ebert and Roeper give 2 thumbs *way* up. Carter Beauford is an amazing actor in a breakout role says the New York Times. Astonishing! says the Chicago Tribune. Carter Beauford stars in 'Escape from Dave Matthews Band'" ;).

yay the link works for me now

Dr. Beshara said, "In most cases the greatest danger to the eye arises from objects of a relatively small size traveling at a high velocity. Clearly Mr. Beauford's drumsticks were moving very fast, perhaps even at light speed."

Light speed? heheheheheh what a retard

I can't tell if he's really dedicated to this solo or he's just flat out retarded. He hit him self int he eye with a stick and might have possibly lost his all together. Can you imagine how hard it would be to play drums with only one eye and a kit as big as carter's is?

yeah, true. but on the other hand I'm sure he could play his kit with his eyes closed. and somehow I can understand him, you know how expensive studio time is and he had probably also a 'music flash' so that he just had to go on, just like a junky who needs to reach the climax.

That was moderatley funny(And to the people 2 posts above me, also not true. I'm sure he is still in the "vibe" of his solo after being in a hospital for an extended period of time. And of course he hits himself in the eyes. And of course you don't hear about it anywhere else.)
