today i was doing some "spring cleaning" on my computer. I was getting rid of all of the that has piled up over the past year(close to ten gigs). I then stumbled across a whole bunch of videos my old band made. We recorded these so we could write lyrics to our songs, and there are no vocals. After seeing supernauts thread, i figured i'd post mine as well.

quite frankly, the guitarist was a piece of ****. My and my drummer are still tight, and we are in two bands together right now. He does drumming in my jazz band, and sings in my metal band. We're starting up an alternative rock/jam band as well. We intend on recording all of our old bands songs with a new guitarst. Not for money or anything, but so we can have a hard copy of all of the work we've done in the past.

What's sad is all that music is only good with vocals.

Yeah, your guitarist seemed a little iffy. In the vid he just stood there starting at his fret board, barely moving a muscle. But it'snot really me to judge him, he's not bad at playing or anything:p

my guitarist will play stratosphere say (stratovarius) and i'll be like holy **** thats amazing, but apart from a pained look he puts little in - whereas i move about even if were playing something boring like ghost of the navigator

I watched two songs from my first band's first gig from three years ago.

Oh, dear, I hated every moment watching them.

But we disbanded a year later, and the drummer and I ended up starting something that we're both still in today.

about the singing, we eventually had lyrics and singing, just no recordings of it(these were made so we can make lyrics[no recording equipment, besides camera]). And about the guitarist. He sucks. He sucks big time. Those parts he was playing were written by yours truely. He doesn't think outside of the box or think for himself. You saw all of his abilities in those videos. And those abilities= playing what he's told, and he still can't do it right. The little funky bridge, he's supposed to play on the and of one, and I was like "play on the and of one, not one, and he still didn't do it right. As you can see, he's the reason my drummer and I split.

I'm using a digitech synth wah in the first song.

This is a riff that my guitarist wrote. It's actually a decent song. I didn't write a solo for him so he did what he does best, Plays the root note with a bunch of effects and strums really fast. other than that, I like this one.

on topic that was some good tunage. you could definitely benefit from a better GP. looked like you were pretty much carrying the whole thing.
