So I'm new to "home" recording, I've read a couple books on it, which I found completely confusing. I recently ..."acquired” Cakewalk Music Creator Pro24 2004, what do I need, equipment wise to plug mics into the computer and it will record individual tracks for each mic (probably around 6 mics per track) and I want to mix it all on my computer, and if I can't with that software what software would I need? thanks for your time

there is a great soundcard for what your doing, though you will only be able to record 2 mics at the same time, though u can do one, then the next and so on

Either a mixer or an audio interface with more inputs such as a PreSonus Firepod.
