I'm getting a v-amp 2 for xmas and want to be able to record with it straight away. Is all the equipment needed to record supplied with it, or do i need to buy anything? Thanks

Just download Audacity, a free recording program. You'll probably need a custom lead or lead + adaptors if you have a general PC soundcard.
You want it to have 2 mono 1/4" jack's on one end, and then one stereo 3.5mm jack on the other end. You'll probably have to get an insert lead, 2 mono 1/4" > 1 stereo 1/4", and then get a stereo 1/4" > 3.5mm convertor.
That should have you set.

Well since were on the subject of the V-amp, and recording by direct in, and not wanting to clutter the frontpage...What would have a better sound quality with recording guitars, the v-amp, pod, whichever or a presonus firebox. Also on that note, if there are better choices than the 2, can you please state them. thanx.
