That was the first tune I heard from DMB. Live at Woodstock '99. Immediate love and subsequent marriage.

"Why Would You Say"?

"What Would You Say?" is the correct title name... Although this is definitely "Ants Marching."

Carter is an awesome drummer... No doubt about it.

Ants Marching... (great song)

i LOVE DMB... and Carter.
He's a good drummer... not the GREATEST, but fits good w/ this band

That's exactly the point. Aside from having some pretty damn good chops, he's one of the best in the business at fitting in so well with his band.

That's where I don't agree.

I think he's an INCREDABLE drummer!

When you get to the point that you're calling him "good" only you're being WAY too picky. The man has some of the cleanest tightest chops I've ever seen. Plus he has great showmanship and looks like a good bloke.

He's great, he does repeat ALOT of licks over and over though, thats his only downfall IMO.

Ohh man, I have this vid on a dvd, and I've always wondered what this song is called. Thanks guys. :thumb:

Beauford is a great drummer. Dave Matthews Band wouldn't be anything if it hadn't been for Beauford.

im supprised - i love watching him because hes so good musically and stylistically. he may not be the most technical... well he actually can be incredibly technical so never mind. hes the best.

yeah, he plays for the song perfectly, but he's not doing anything new in my book. although, one roll he did (up then down toms) was perfect :)

edit: was in bad mood before

I hear that man. It doesnt even look like hes hitting the toms.

Edit: I thought you were talking about the part at the end where hes hitting the snare, tom, and cymbals. But the one roll is pretty sweet.

That's a bit of a silly statement. It wouldn't be anything without Dave Matthews either.. or Boyd Tinsley.. or Leroi.. or Steve.

Hehe, yeah of course. What I meant to say was that without his drumming DMB would be totally different. He applies so much variated stuff in the songs, and I (pressure on I) personally think that Dave Mattews Band wouldn't be the same without Beauford at all.
