I dowloaded something earlier and it's a .bin file, I'm having some trouble opening it, I tried with a programe called StuffIt but that didn't help, so does anyone know of a good programe to open .bin files?

Get Daemon Tools.
It's a virtual DVD drive that works with those file types.

It may be a compressed file type like .iso or .rar so try WinRAR.

BIN isn't a type of a fixed extension like .EXE or .DOC etc
BIN could be used by different programs. Like was noted, BIN/CUE files are used to store/retrieve an image of a CD.
BTW, if you don't have a CUE file, don't worry. It's format is quite simple and if you are missing it, you can make it
yourself.
Also BIN files could be used for firmware ROM images, or for files meant to run on an emulator of some kind, be it
game emulator, or some other computer emulator.
BIN is just a name for a binary file.

Hmm...I need to think about it for a while. I think the file may actually be corrupted/damaged, I need to check.
Thanks for the help anyway.

What was it you downloaded or should I not ask?

Fable: The Lost chapters, I only have £20 and its £30, unless I get it online, and if I did that Civ 4 would be out by the time it came. (Which is what I'm waiting for atm, along with Oblivion.)
