I've played them a number of times, and for volume they do what your after, but they feel strange to me. They dont sit well in your hand. I suggest brushes, but try them, they might be right for you.

Ok...Thanks...What sucks is at my GC they don't let you try out the VF stuff. I think that they had a display pair out last time I was there...I'll have a look this weekend...

Thanks

Might want to check out Blastics by Vater I think it is. They are black. Roughly the same thing, last a long time.

Yea I like those better then the hotrods, they last longer too.

I love my hot rods.

I also play with a pair of orange plastic brushes, dunno what brand but they work fine.

I had a pair of promark hotrods and broke them in one practice session.

How long do Blastics last for?

I've had a few pairs for a couple years now. Longest lasting sticks of the type I've found. Great sound and feel as well.

The tips do get frayed over time/playing. To me it only add's to the character of the sticks.

On a similar note anyone ever used Trueline sticks with that buldge near the end, so that you can grip them better?

Found a pair at a gig last night and found them interesting. The weight was a bit off.
