First off, "hard" is subjectif as what is hard for one dude is easy for another. :)

But I would say at this point: The Black Page, hands down :D

Practically any song from Bozzio on his uber DW actually (although Black Page is not realy one of "his" songs)

EDIT: damn you Split!

Greenday ;)

I consider jazz-fusion to be the hardest style to play because of the discipline needed to play consisely with both feel and great clear technique

sum of the trivium stuff is really hard

You dreamtheater boys should read the Neil vs Portnoy thread

Portnoy's stuff is actually really easy to play, once you know the different time sigs used. Single stroke parts all the way, nothing technically challanging really

the song's only been out for a few years, but i figure it'll take another four or five before i master that song.

i'm prepared for the long haul. i shall master that trickery some day.

Good, you will need strength though. Tis such a hard song, all those complicated polyrhythms that she plays (4 beats to a bar with one hand and 2 with the other?) Whats that all about, I dont think I'll ever master it.

There isn't really a "THE hardest song song to drum", but just to name one really tricky, how about Tool - Ticks and Leeches?? :)

... And I must be a very good drummer, it only took me about three minutes to learn seven nation army!! :D (I do realize that you guys were joking :) )

Portnoy's stuff can get quite difficult. Moon also gets pretty unpredictable and difficult to follow.

Weren't those who played music considered evil back then? or somethin' like that.

GooseFilms.net
10-28-2005, 09:43 PM
Wrong. Being creative was evil at the time, because God was the only one who could create. Gregorian chants, however, were very religious, and for this reason was deemed as acceptable. The same thing goes with art (why you see exclusively paintings of religious figures and some portraits, all drawn as precisely as possible). Even literature was based on old stories. Creation of new stories was taboo.
