im going to gc today and trade in my pearl and zbt cymbals * with hope for at least like 10 bucks *, but im going to look at some hats. I went and really liked the paiste signature 14 inch sound edge, but do you think the Alpha sound edge would be almost as good for half the price ( plus it has that pretty cool logo thing ) . Also if you could get me some good suggestions for hats, the price is not an issue... but if i go so far as the sigs im going to look at Ks and K kustoms right?. Much appriciated

If you like the Paiste SE hats, look at the Sabian AAXcelerators. They are pretty cheaper than Paiste, and they sound amazing (I own them)

Pretty soon I'm probably gonna be using 12's" as mains.

I know the price could be (A lot) better, but try out some 15" Dark Energy's from Paiste.

EDIT: They are 450$....Way too much for hats(IMO)

The Groove Hats have an exceptionally dry sound. Not good for louder styles of music. K/Z Dynos or New Beats would be good, Paiste Sigs are quite nice as well. Sabian AAXelerators are good too.

those really are some clean sounding hats. i've only heard sound recordings of them becuase i've never found anyone who carries them.

also try sabian hhx groove hats like someone mentioned or the hhx evo. hats.

i've never seen hhx groove hats at GC though.

Personally I wouldn't recommend Signatures unless you have big bucks. If you are just slowly upgrading, you can get a full set of HHX or K's, or A's or what-have-you *long* before you'll have the cash to strap down on a set of Signatures.

I like New Beats, could someone tell me how much the quick beats cost? I can't find em online.Exact same price as every other A Zildjian hihat in the same size. 14" should run you $210.00 to $240.00 Canadian depending on where you get it from.
