I am just wondering what the drum head equivalents are across the brands?

For example- does an Aquarian SuperKick I provide similar tonal qualities compared to a Remo PS2? Or does the Aquarian Studio-X equal a Remo Pinstripe?

I'm really interested in the Remo/Aquarian equivalents (not a fan of Evans).

EMADs are extremely good bass drum heads. Don't hate on Evans, great company ;)
But yes, Studio-X's are pretty much the equivalent to Pinstripes. Superkick 3's are good for bass drum heads too.

Odd you should say that! I currently use a 22" EMAD and really like the sound I get from it. However, I'm unsure if its poor quality or not, but the head is literally falling apart. I've always loved/never encountered a problem with Remo too.

describe falling apart. could be a defect or u might just have bad technique, or it might be wear/tear

The black ring holding the foam against the head is cracking and coming off of the head. Also the small ring behind the head is coming off. It's pretty much a quality issue.

u could always contact evans. bass heads arent cheap
