I just left a call of duty in my gf's bathroom a minute ago, but has anyone picked this game up, yet? WHat are your thoughts, impressions, etc.

call of duty 2 was released on tuesday in america and on november 7th in uk cant wait.....:thumb: :thumb:

I'm flat broke right now, and my pc specs are probably not gonna be able to handle the delicious graphics and gameplay like it did the first one(and United Offensive).

All I can say is it's awesomeness.

Fricken outstanding. They made it even more awesome.

Still no multiplayer support though, as in no dedicated server or support for multiplay.

However, the game is incredible.

Hmm..the first level ran fine for me but now the game is running like crap. I can't even run the game on low! I can run FEAR on high so I don't know what the problem is. :( any ideas?

is there any way of being able to play online from a copy like the above torrent or am i going to have to spend?

edit:how come my downloads arent running.in fact my downloads from torrents suck generally i rarely hit over 4kbps and on this cod2 torrent, out of 333 peers ive got 2.is this because of the time?ive got 2mb broadband and my browser speeds are about 200kbps.any clues?sorry for the noob questions but would really appreciate an answer

you're not running programs in the background are you? Before you play press Alt ctrl del and turn off all the non critical processes if you're low on memory.

It could be a driver problem, check your graphics card, mobo etc are all up to date.

Other than that, I dunno :confused:

Alright well it seems to have corrected itself.. and this is a sweet game!! Much better then the original. There's so much going on at once it's crazy. I usually just charge in, shooting at everything, die, and repeat a few times until I control myself and stick with my squad a little more. :lol:

It's pretty funny when you throw a grenade and bodies just fly into the air.

i've been thinking of getting this but MP in the original was the worst gaming experience i've ever had, and i don't usually buy SP games, mostly because you finish them in 2 hours and never play them again. i may obtain this one and see how it is though, the demo was good, although a bit short.

I dont know the exact Req. But, Im running it on

P4. 2.8Ghz 800fsb
2gb DDR-400 Ram
Geforce ti4200 (I think)

The game runs alright, but due to my crappy graphics card its not running as good as it could be
yeah but 2gb of ram its be pretty nippy?
how about a laptop of 3ghz,512mb ram and a 64mb ati card.what settings would i be able to use?

The ram helps a little but i have so much running in the background it just brings it down a bit, It should run on the laptop, the graphics might be a bit jumpy or not run at a very high resolution though.

Uggh I'm stuck at one point on the British campaign having to defend different parts of the base. It's literally 30 enemies rushing at me and 2 AI's who die instantly. Otherwise I love this game.

I just finished the Russian campaign as well. The last mission was awesome, especially when you got the camo'd sniper rifle, "comrade sniper." Hah hah ha, those fascist bastards came all the way over here just to die!!

Now I'm on the second British mission.. Tank Squadrons or something.

yeah id play single player but when i load the second map or level my game crashes and says a direct x error..so went to direct x website like it said and downloaded the latest version and still does nothing..

I have one set of British missions left to do and I unlocked Americans at D-Day. I think I'm going to finish the British set first. But not tonight, South Park is on then I have to BS some HW. So tomorrow will be a long day till I can come home and play.

I wonder how the American missions are. Hopefully they're the best out of the 3 campaigns. The Russian and British campaigns are funny though because of the accents and what your fellow soldiers say.

I'll have to get CoD2 although I didn't play first one either. Something tells me I'll be dissapointed since Im playing bf2 and graphics on that game own CoD2's easily. Will have to check it out to see if gameplay is worth it though.

I'll have a bunch of screenshots up soon. The smoke in this game looks better than any other and the sounds are better than any other game out as well. One of the reasons for not having amazing graphics is the ability to have a crazy amount of models on the screen at one. One of the graphic options for Number of Models is 'insane'.

Gameplay > graphics anyway
