In my city we have some Sexcellent hardcore bands ranging from beatdown to melodic hardcore, or metalcore to thrash.

First off we have the...
HOODS-Kings of Norcal beatdown http://www.hoodsarmy.com

Killing the Dream-Probably your favorite Sacramento band, amazing melodic hardcore http://www.myspace.com/killingthedream

Outgunned-Good hardcore-punk with some breakdowns here and there. They're really good, nice dudes, I recommend We Lost It. http://www.myspace.com/outgunnedhc

Trash Talk-Thrashy hardcore, if you like Outbreak kind of stuff you'd dig them. They're startin to tour too, go see them, they're good. http://www.myspace.com/trashtalkfu

Red Tape-Great band who has made their mark in both the punk and hardcore scenes, very catchy. http://www.myspace.com/redtape

Embrace the End-Metalcore, they're good for their genre, but I'm not particularly into them. http://www.myspace.com/embracetheend

Plead the Fifth-Hardcore punk. Fun live, not great on recording. http://www.myspace.com/pleadthefifth

Crisis-Thrash/Punk/Hardcore-Haven't seen them live. Good songs, check em. http://www.myspace.com/crisisvacto

The Long Run-Awesome melodic hardcore, if you like Set it Straight you will looove these guys. I saw their last show it was amazing http://www.myspace.com/longrun916

In Black September-Dolemite's metalcore band, I haven't heard very much, but you should support them anyways. http://www.myspace.com/inblackseptember

The Long Run really grows on you, I've seen them twice, and it wasn't until the second time I really got to appreciating them. It sucks that they broke up.

Do they have the same vocalist as SIS or do they just sound a lot alike?

Nah they don't. They just sound exactly alike to a scary degree.

I dislike what I've heard from 7 Second's new releases.

And their older releases.

And pretty much everything they've ever done.

Just sayin'

Red Tape are good. They don't sound like they'd be on Roadrunner.

Sorta, my brother goes to Davis. I visited him this weekend and we saw some local show they had there. I don't remember any of the band's names, though. That's the only show I've been to around there. Have you seen Times Up?

Almost did, their show got cancelled here this summer.
