hey, well i havent been on here for a few days, but lately, ive come into alot of money, as ive gotten a job, and recently won ten grand through the lottery, plus an inheritance..and i just made a trip to a local long&mcquade, and bought a few things, i just thought it would be neat to show it off as ive never really had anything huge to showoff before, and i feel im gonna take most of these things (give or take the heads/sticks :)) with me for the next 15++ years, here goes.

firstly, i picked up a yamaha stage custom, with a gibraltar rack middle bar, 8 cymbals (they all came with the set, i didnt really care what they were) for ten dollars. {www.buysell.com} (the yamaha stage custom was donated to my drum studio as well with the set, and the cymbals were sold for a total of $230CDN)

i got that before the lottery, but i thought it would be worth showing off anyway..as the good deals are out there.

and now to what i purchased recently.

Pacific LX in Amber colour, fast tom sizes. (this is kept at my drum studio for when my band rehearses and records.)

Tama Rockstar 10" Rack tom, 20" bass, and 18" floor tom.

Chad Smith Signature Snare

Buddy Rich/Steve Gadd Sticks (i got pissed off with these sticks, i now use dave weckls evo sticks.)

Paragon Flight Case Set Consisting of Neil Pearts Current Setup (these recently came in and they are on the LX)

HHX Evolution 7" and 12" splashes. (7" is on the LX and im getting another 12" to make aux hats out of)

HHX Evolution 16" and 18" Ozone Crashes (the 16" is still be shipped sadly)

HHX Evolution 14" Mini Chinese (this was taken back as the sound was not something that fit my music)

Zildjian 20" and 22" oriental Chinese's (stacked) (these were also taken back, as the sound was ****ty and i didnt like them seperately)

Zildjian New Beat Hi-hats 15" (these were taken back, as there wasnt enough chick for me)

3Iron Cobra Flexi-glide Pedals

Iron Cobra Hi hat stand (flexi)

Yamaha and pearl stands/clamps/arms/hardware

5-6 jam blocks (all ranging in size), 2 cowbells, 2 ago-go bells, a xylophone (sp) a 180 bar chime, a chime-tree. a third cowbell attached to a Pedal. (only 2 cowbells, the xylophone and the bar chime were kept, as i found out this much percussion is not needed on a drumkit, the bar chime is kept with the LX)

pics will be up soon as soon as i get a kodak easy share cd to load them onto the computer with.
also the ticket was bought and cashed by my mother, but the ticket was bought for me.

well i need some left over right :( im almost 18 <(im a few years off) and i wanna refinish my room/soundproof it and make it a studio, which is what im putting the rest of the money on, aside from donating to the music studio that i go to.

sorry, also about the pics, ill try to get some up soon as possible, but i dont got a camera that connects to my computer or a scanner, ill try and get a friend to do it

well the important thing is u bought what u liked. not what i would have cuz lx seem overprice but their finishes are amazing

i just basically bought it cuz it was there, i was looking to finance it at christmas time, cuz i love the idea of having toms even with my snare drum, it was basically a binge and purge of my drumming...just something i kinda wanted, im keepin my rockstar as my main kit wierdly enough, i fell inlove with my birch setup. maple is just not the sound i wanna make. The HHX splashes are a sound i fell inlove with, the ozone's are like the LX, i just thought they looked kool and would make good aux crashes, alot of it was stupid spending, but it was mostly spur of the moment i suppose...im gonna go lie down next to my rockstar and go to sleep...night mx!

How can you win the lottery if you're under 18? Unless youre in Canada or something. That's an INSANE deal on the yamaha kit too. Holy fusty walrus!

lol nah, the $10 was actually his excuse, the fella that was selling it had to sell it all quick to make room in his house..his wife wanted him to quit.
and i thought about that billdrum, lol i might pick one up soon, i dont know what id ever use it for aside from taking pics of my kit

The yamaha is going to be at my teachers studio for when i have rehearsals, the LX is going to be opposite of my rockstar for when i teach beginner drum lessons (im helping out my teacher by starting off with his starting drummers before they move on to him)

it wasnt me who actually cashed it, my mom bought it for me as a birthday present (my birthday was in september) and then i got her to cash it, she got 2 grand of the ten as she wouldnt take anymore than that.

good gravy thats a huge kit. with the flight case and that 15" hi hat you know have three.

that's a hell of a lot of stuff, where are you going to find the room for all that on you kit. got to see some pics.

the flight case will be a gig set for showing off mostly, and the jam blocks are for pulling a neil peart, hes the basis of the kit, i just dont feel the need to have concert toms..:)

none im not usin poppin :( and i will have pics up within the week, and if not, next week. mind you the rockstar wont be setup, as the rack/floor toms/bass drum are on order, as is the paragon flight case...so just the HHX mainly and the percussion...im having trouble finding a place for the 4 foot chime..any suggestions :(

took a wee bit longer than 2 weeks, lol i couldnt get a camera then i totally forgot when my mom and dad got a divorce. alot of it isnt at my house, but i will get pics of whats in my basement in a couple of days.
