My mom barely bugs me to get rid of my clothes, because many of them were actually hers in the 80's. No one in my family is good at parting with clothes.
My mom wonders why I wear these shirts that say "the bijou theatre" on them, when I wasn't even alive when that theatre was around. I don't really know why I wear them, other than because they're comfortable, and I've just gotten into a habit of wearing them.

All my shoes are leather, and I don't care whether or not all the cute little animals were to be shot.
I honestly can't understand vegetarians who refuse to buy leather things. They often last much longer, you'll have to replace cloth things multiple times before leather wears out.
I, as a vegearian will buy leather without feeling bad about it. If I were to buy 100% vegan shoes I'd be spending wither ridiculously high prices for shoes that fall apart within months (I can't just keep wearing torn apart shoes in the winter), or else paying lower prices for shoes made in a sweatshop. And the latter case is far more common.

I have vegan shoes that are extremely durable. It's all about how passionate you are and if you care to even look.
If you did, you can find many boots imitating leather and are just as durable.
