What the **** is going on with this? It's been recorded for months, how long can it take to put together some packaging and get some CDs pressed?

LP Release Update
Posted: 2005-10-05 by Bill
We've hit some unfortunate snags with Warmachine releasing the LP. But everything is finally under way for pressing and the album should be out by the end of the month. If you're outside our immediate area (and won't be able to pick up the record when we have a release show) you can drop us an email to pre-order a copy if you like. New shirts and hoodies are in too (with the Shift Pacific design), so check them out! (http://www.theprocedure.com/merch.php)

Hey there, ladies and gents!

After quite a long wait and a large number of delays and roadblocks, our second LP is out! Shift Pacific just arrived today, and we're really, really happy with it. And we think you will be too!

Check out our website for more information!

Also, we've got a few shows coming up locally this month. We'll be playing in:

New Brunswick on 11/26
Garfield, NJ on 12/2
Possibly in Bergen County, NJ on 12/3

So, in conclusion, our new cd is awesome and you should get it and then come see us at shows and sing along with all the songs!

Take care,
Bill

Ehh don't feel like waiting that long to pick it up.

Check out http://www.myspace.com/betweenthewars members of Ensign, Procedure and Endgame. If you like TP you'll like them.

Nice, I'm ordering it. That Between The Wars band is really good too. Like a perfect mix between Ensign and the Procedure. Or maybe they just sound like the Procedure with Tim on vocals...

and it definitely sounds as if those songs were recorded at the same time as Shift Pacific. And their website is exactly the same

REINER

It's like TP w/ a bit more metal, less cleans and Tim on vocals. So yeah basically TP w/ Tim, ether way they rule.

Nov 11th - 120 Hamilton St (BTW w/ Lords + Mother Night)
Nov 13th - ThinkTank House in Lakewood (BTW)
Nov 26th - 120 Hamilton St (The Procedure + BTW)
Dec 2nd - Garfield, NJ (The Procedure)

This Friday, and it's same day as Blacklisted release. I may end up at this since it's closer.

Just got my copy today. This album is so freaking good. As whole I think it flows a lot better than RONR. Pissed I can't make it to the release show.

Hey dudes!
Yeah, Reiner pretty much covered everything. We finished the record in May, then we ended up waiting on Warmachine for months. They were planning to release the record on funds earned from distro-ing Hellfest. Since Hellfest didn't happen, that caused problems. Then we sent everything out to press and found out AFTER it was sent that the label couldn't pay.
So I pressed the record myself and put it out on my own label that I invented for the purpose of FINALLY getting this record out.

That being said, if you like our stuff, do me a huge favor and pick up our record instead of pirating mp3s. I have a lot of investment to make back that I didn't intend to put out. :) The CD cheap and I think it's really good!

And Reiner already posted all the info from my emails (thanks!) - so you have the links for Interpunk and such.

Ahh I was wondering what Eyeset Records was.

The record is great and was definitely well worth the wait.

As for Between the Wars, it sounds similar to Shift Pacific because I recorded both in my home studio. So good call there!

We'll be recording 8 songs for BTW next month and releasing some kind of CD early next year.

Additionally, X One Way X is releasing a 41 song CD LP really soon. Just finished recording. (you can hear some of the ridiculousness here: http://www.myspace.com/xonewayx )

And finally, Jesse (Procedure singer) and I have another side project called Helcaraxë. It's a death metal band and we finished a 16 song record this fall and are shopping it to metal labels now.

Reiner showed me Helcaraxe yesterday! Really good stuff.

So Between The Wars only have those two songs recorded right now?

i dont know how much luck you'll have finding it in stores for a while - warmachine didn't put it out, but they're still doing distro for it and it will probably take them a while to get going.
you can probably just get it faster and cheaper from interpunk, even with shipping costs!
