G - D - C

Anything! Just take some chords and put them together.

Personally, I think changing from D to C sounds REALLY good.

I really like C - G - Am - F

But that's just me.

It's not too hard to come up with good sounding strum patterns, just mess around for a few minutes, switching up speed and rhythm, meanwhile changing chords when you feel it appropriate.

Just play different chords and when it sounds nice, you've found a nice sounding chord progression haha.

or play a cd or whatever that you like
and even if you don't match up the chords it might make you play a certain rhythm (or strum pattern, as you put it)

it might sound like hell for a bit...but once you get yoru strum pattern down
turn off your cd and continue strumming

if you're concentrating too hard to stop strumming and stop the Cd
use your foot or toe to stop the cd whilst strumming

Try wonderwall by oasis, your 3rd and forth fingers don't even need to move.

If they were all power chords you'd have yourself blink 182's Dammit.

My favourite chord progession just now is from Muse-Unintended

E-Am-D-G5-C-B7-E

Can't decide whether it's in E minor or E major, notes say it's E minor, harmony says it's E major.
