Alright, the time has come for the selection of a color for my drumset. For those of you who don't know what I'm talking about, see:
http://www.musicianforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=403994
Edit: I forgot to mention, the shell I did the practice stains on was unsanded, and has one layer of clear gloss polycrilic.
The two colors I have narrowed it down to are:
Northern Ivy:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v320/NHNwombat/vintage%20shells/New%20shells/DSCF1894.jpg
And Cherry Blossom:

It's a tough choice, and I'm having a really hard time coming up with a decision. What's your opinion?

Wow, I really like the color that the two create when blended. I guess I would go with the Ivy if it were one or the other.

Man.....I love the Cherry blossom too though, and that's such a unique color for drums, almost noone has purplish-pink drums! It'd look awesome! But then again, so would the green....

Do what azianriceball did and fade ivy to cherry to ivy.

It might look different when you sand/ clear coat it, so I'm staying out of the voting.

Another thing to consider, I can stain in different shades and darknesses of the color, not just what the pictures show. So I could make a darker/ligther version of those two colors.

A fade would be cool.
I think the mix of them is nice too.
If you choose just one take the Blossom becuase it's different.

Ok, my dad just told me that we have about 20 10 feet by 1.5 feet boards in our garage that I'm more than able to practice on, so I'll take some pics after I practice with some different shades. A couple things I'm goiong to try:
A green to red fade,
a Dark red to light red fade,
and a dark green to light green fade.
Anyone else got suggestons?

pink will look a lot better once it has been clear coated and has had a few coats. It should go really nicely with chrome hardware, i have four stars.

I say cherry. Once you get some more coats and clear coat it, it probably wont look that pink anymore.

Ok, you guys have convinced me to try the green. I have an old CB tom that's completely stripped, I'll test the green on there with a couple layers of gloss.

You can thank me later when you dont end up with ugly drums because of me.
Make sure you get chrome hardware, black hardware might look nice but it might look a little weird.

You're just jealous because you wouldnt be able to wear a shirt that says, " Real men drum pink". Of course, I could be implying that I'm gay, but 1) I'm not, and 2) my girlfirend just laughs at me when I try to act gay.
our band has it all planned out, for our first gig, my guitarist is going to wear a shirt that says "breaking hearts and breaking guitars", my bassist (who is my cousin, and Irish as well (as am I)), is going to wear a shirt that says, "Less talk, more sham-rock!", and now I'm going to wear a shirt that sas, "Real men drum pink"
No, but i'm going to go with a light pink, not dark. With even one really dark coat, it turns a magenta kinda color

Hahaha, you made me think of this band practice we were having, and we decided to act all british-rocker in the 70's, and speak in british accents. So our sound guy/badmate who plays the eggshaker (He really is as much a part of the band as the rest of us), turns to us and says, in a british accent, "what's your inspiration when you're not on drugs?" And our guitarist turns to him and says, "whena re we not on drugs?" It's ironic, because none of us do drugs.
But what you actuall made me think of was that same band practice, when we were making fun of him for playing the eggshaker, I say "Even I've got my drums to bang!" And he says, "that's all you've GOT to bang!" At the time, I didnt have a girlfriend. We all got a good laugh out of that night.
