This song is a kind on metal ballad that sorta tells a story (if you can work out what it's about you rock).
Zombies
In the center of town there’s a house that stands
Although it’s ready to fall
A hole in the roof let’s the moonlight in
It shines on things that crawl
There’s a dozen zombies in his room
And two rats on his bed
Candles break the sullen darkness
But not the space in his head
He walks along the corridor
With no blood in his veins
Feels the dead weight in his hand
It’s time to end the pain
It’s time to silence all these voices in my head
It’s time to reconcile my mind
It’s time to wake the dead
In the place where the air is purple
In the home of the dead
There’s no room in the world for ones like me
And no room in my head
The silent night is broken
By the sound of guns
The air smells like a barbeque
And it wakes the dogs
The dogs wake their owners
They know something is wrong
Although the hounds were all born deaf
The odor is strong
It’s time to silence the voices in my head
It’s time to reconcile my mind
It’s time to wake the dead
In the place where the air is purple
In the home of the dead
There’s no room in the world for ones like me
And no room in my head
The song itself has a very long guitar solo for the last 6 minutes or so, imitating gunfire and sirens and such, which is why the lyrics are short and sweet.
