i write songs poetically, and they are good songs, but i can never put them into a rhythm, how do you write songs into a rhythm. do you put the lyrics off of the guitar or off of the drums?

Good question. My songs sorta fall together. You generally write your sylibles in a time signiture, just as you would when writing rythem, but you don't neccisarily go by what's happing on the drums. I put my lyrics to song using a guitar, but that's just how my style of music works.

Write whatever pops into your head first, and then work that into something you can put into a song.

from what i found out i dont find any rhythem in any of mine, lyrics r like another instrument you should make its own beat that follows the song
