I actually bought it and found it to be very intriguing. It's not a Madden by no means but I have more fun playing it then Madden now-a-days. It's pretty explicit for a sports game, Midway dropped its label basically and "did what they always wanted to do". Definitely doesn't hold back on the swearing or the blood either which is nice. It has some flaws but is still good (multiplayer) fun

it looks like a decent game. nothing too special, but you know. i've always been a blitz fan, and i'm happy that a new blitz is finally going to deliver.

Rated M but it basically has every "M-Rated" catergory except for graphic violence probably. It's different from the old blitz games so some extent. When I played the first Blitz games I remember after the play you could leg drop the guy like Hulk Hogan 20 times. Theres just alot of tackling and I like the "bullet time" mode which is basically the slow motion taken from something like Max Payne and thrown into a football game. The game is differently brutal.

My favorite dirty hit is the leg whip or when the guy takes off the receivers helmet and then smashes him in the face with it. The storyline is okay... It's something different though.

If you have online capabilities or friends who love multiplayer - definitely. On a single player side it's iffy but I play alot of the campaign and still have my licks. I got it for $30 so I bought it..

I picked it over The Warriors but I plan on getting that next month..

I'd say it's definitely Blitz but I always thought the series was rediculous before. It still is but before it was basically senseless.

They made the game have some initiative now IMO. The dirty hits are awesome and the graphics are very good... (xbox)

Used to love NFL Blitz on PS1, even though I know nothing about the sport that was one very fun game to play.

It could be, against the single player campaign I've had some problems. Multiplayer is a real blast though.

I remember Blitz 98 on N64, was SO GOOD, then they came out with NFL Blitz 20-02 later on, and that was okey-dokeyish, but after that, Blitz Pro sucked balls. The new one's on Xbox too, right?
