Some CTU agents faked his death and the end just showed him walking down railroad tracks. I forgot what exactly happened but it involved the chinese embassy.

Heres a more complete story on what happened with Baur

There was a chinese citizen who was hiding from CTU in the chinese emabssy. Baur lead a strike team into the embassy and got him, in the process a chinese embassador was killed by friendly fire. Since it was an act of war the chinese government wanted Baur but Baur knew too much, being in CTU and DOA so the president authorized Baur to be killed in an "accident" before the chinese could get him. Baur and his CTU buddies faked his death and Baur escaped to Mexico.

At the end of the last season they had a preview for the next saying (not exact words): First he saved the city, then he saved the country, now when the world is in jeprody, if you think he'll just sit by quietly, you don't know Jack. So basically hes gonna come back.

Hm the first season of 24 was awesome. 2-3 left a lot to be desired. The season, 4 I think, that is airing now here in Australia started off so well but these last few episodes are just letting it down. Hm....

yeah it was like that for the first 3 seasons, they used to start the seasons in october.

Last season, and this new season start in january so yeah its awesome that it just goes straight through without interruptions.

It pissed me off when they used to say "THREE WEEKS FROM TODAY, ON 24......":evil:

What exactly is it about?

One episode is an hour of a day of Jack Bauer's life. The series tracks what happens in this day, so there are 24 episodes in a series obviously. So last season, the day started at nine a.m. So the first episode went from nine to ten, and the second from ten to eleven etc. Anyway, Jack Bauer is an agent for CTU. The last series involved a terrorist called Marwan, who managed to cause a train wreck, kidnap the secratary of defense and his daughter, plant an agent in CTU, launch a nuclear missile and get one of his men to steal a stealth bomber all in one day. It sounds absurd if you think about it that way, but if you watch it, it's actually pretty good.

actually it was one of the president's aides who authorized it. palmer told president pu$$y about the plan but he didn't take his word for it. as far as we know the president was against killing bauer.

What does everybody think is the best season? I like the 2nd season personally. I never saw the first one though. I rented the DVD at the video store, but one of the discs didn't work, so I just have up. I'll watch it eventually. You what that show needs to get back? Elisha Cuthbert. I mean, sure, her part in the story was kind of annoying and pointless, but it was worth it to see her in a damp wife beater.
