I can't even make ten facts about myself, I don't think.
Or, rather, I can't come up with twenty facts that I wouldn't mind sharing with the Internets, haha.

A reaccuring annoyance here in the forums.
He was once a well respected moderator here in the forums, but did a more or less dumb thing (if it was or not lies in the eye of the beholder) which lead to losing his modship. He was offered modship a while later again, but refused, and instead comes every now and then to the forums to attack with spawning links and spam bots, mainly attacking mx.
Hey Damrod, I may just be a n00b about this, but is it preferable to put band line-ups AFTER the review rather than at the head? Personally I think they lead in quite nicely to the review, but I'm just asking.

mx asked for lineups to be put at the end of a review (or at least not as head). It looks kinda messed up when the review is displayed on the front page. If you want to have it up near the head, write a short introductory paragraph and put it behind it.
Hope that cleared it up :)

Plexi exploited a loophole in a prior version of vBulletin where you could log in to anyone's account with a blank password barring you had certain clearance/restrictions/etc. Since Plexi is quite good with computers, he thought he was in the clear... but he messed up along the way.
LightRaven, an ex-mod, found out - as he tried to hack into hers. She went to Jeremy and he demodded Plexi on the spot without an explanation.
That's a bigger nutshell, but still purposefully vague and misleading.

I did it in Photoshop, but I guess it can be doen in most image manipulation applications (at least the ones that are not as basic as Paint is).
I made the original pic b/w, and made it duotone afterwards (black and blue, that was lost during conversion from the psd-file to JPEG). When that was done, I changed the threshold of the colors until the blending between them was as blurry as it is now. Actually it was darn easy once I figured out where to find all the stuff in Photoshop

Uhh you're a bit off there in your information buddy. :p
There was a problem with the vBulletin software that allowed people to sign into an april/may 04 account with a blank password. Plexiglass was still a dedicated mod at the time and tested it out on the moderator accounts to make sure they were safe, then after 5 attempts lightraven got an email saying he had tryed to enter her account. His intentions were pure, but he got demodded. Then he started using it to enter people's accounts.

Well, first off to play was Emanuel and they were pretty good, the crowd was wild and I was at the front. I think they played a little less than half an hour.
After that I was still at the very front and center, but when The Early November played it was as if I was fighting for my life. The crowd was worse then any death metal show ever, no ****ing joke. Overall that was alright, but I really don't care for Emanuel or T.E.N.
After that I was right above the right speker so my hearing got shot to hell during Saves The Day, probably the weakest performance of the night. I had never heard any of their stuff before and I won't be looking now either.
The final band, the reason I even went to the concert, Senses Fail. Yeah I like 'em, I know none of you do, but it was great. They played some of their best stuff, then they left, but came back to play my fav. song by them, Lady in a Blue Dress and the final song I don't like-187. I got into a good mosh pit there and have some nice bruises and even a cut in my leg. Overall, I give the concert a 3.5 out of 5.

Just a general question, how many times do you think one should listen to an album before being able to write a competent and accurate review on it? I'd say at least 8 times. Anything less, and you haven't gotten the overall feel or "idea" of the album.

Don't you think after only one listen, you miss some things? For example, if you only listen once you can't say that the album has grown on you. I've listened to plenty of albums that I don't like at first listen, but grow to like after many. Whenever I'm trying to get into a new genre I'm like this. Maybe it's just me, though.

Yes, that's why I listen and then keep going back. Writing after one single listen will yield a serious lack of detail, unless you're doing a trck by track.

Yeah, but that's the thing... I don't write a review as the song plays. The song is continually looped and analyzed (where appropriate) until I've finished with the review of that particular track. It's a lot easier for me, personally.

Yeah, but even if Chad got into your account, it wouldn't last very long, so long as you were online. That, and he wouldn't be able to do a whole heck of a lot with it, seeing as how your powers are basically temporary when compared to an admin's, save for permanently deleting posts and threads. If Chad went on a crazy ban spree, the bans would just get lifted. That, and the posts that were deleted or whatever could be recovered. So yeah, you don't have anything to worry about, really, but it's good to be safe than sorry.

How do you work that out then?

So we did this photoshoot so to say with one of the bands I'm in. We did about 450 MB worth of pictures in... less then an hour or so. There are some really nice ones among them.
One of my favorites of the pics so far is included below as attatchment (still working through them). Spot the moderator time. Who of the folks is me? :)
Why you're on the right, of course :)

But, yeah, 100 points for Spat Out Plath :thumb:
I did not notice that when we made the photos, but I basically look grumpy on over 90% of the photos we did (which were quite a lot). Can't really say why though.

Any results re: your new job?
I hope you aren't pissed off for your interview
Nice review, though I have to agree with Jom on this one: There is NO, I repeat, NO emo in Blink182.
I can't force you, but I would appreciate it if you could edit the e-word for something that describes what you are aiming for. It just fuels the misunderstanding of a decent genre the way it is now
This made me laugh when I saw it in that Blink review.

I'm not sure which one you are referring to.
If you mean the job at the anatomy institute, I got that one. I'm very happy about that, as it takes a big wheight of my shoulders. I'll have about 380 bucks more income per month from now on.
It seems to be quite nice as well. The people are really friendly, the work is. Don't have to do anything with corpses though, I'm there for the IT :)

Well, we'll see what comes
EDIT: It's cool to state "I work in the institute for anatomy research". Everyone immideatelly asks: "You work with corpses!?!" :)

Also, tehchad repped me, apparently to apologise for a past incident. What a strange day. I wonder what account he was using.

Either BisonCrossing's/Justin's or Paul150/Doctor Robert's, I think.

Damrod when you said your avatar is a picture of you I got which one you were right away cause your hair is over your face on your avatar and in the picture you hair is the longest of every one of the guys. But the two faces of you look different however. I can't see your face real well in the band picture either cause it looks all muffled(or some word) out.
I'm so pissed as hell. I'm in the middle of working on JeW-Bleed American and the review is a tribute to the style of reviewing that Mr. Jomathon does. I'm still doing it however. I'm half-way done with it.

My avatar is different of cause as it is altered in Photoshop. And I'm the one that was most far away from the camera on that picture, so I guess it was a bit hard to figure out. :)
I found another review site. www.metalreviews.com
I won't ban you for that one. Though Jom has a point, it could be considered advertising. Be careful with that, some mods are quite fast in banning people for advertisement

Hm, about it being advertising:
Banning for posting it once would not let the finger march towards the trigger, but mods tend to look at the poster in question's other posts. If the link appears there as well, a ban will probably follow.

Yeah, that's right. Why else would I type "omg band 4 advertising" other than me joking?
Basically, if you were saying things like...
Hey guys check out my site (http://www.musicianforums.com/forums/)!
... over and over and over again, then you'd get banned.
Or if you just made an account and said things like the above, then you'd get banned. Of course, no one is exempt from the no-advert rule to begin with, so...
