Good, but tiring.
Main points:
- lots of kids fell down slippery bank and I had to help them
- one girl got mild hypothermia
- some autistic kid kept repeating harry potter spells (i think he put a hex on me >.<)
- traded/stole one of the kids tent which was like a 6 person tent in exchange for our cruddy 3 person tent
- stumbled upon a massive magic mushroom
- stood around the camp fire which mostly smelt of weed (not that there was any) and ham
- got sunburnt
- stumbled upon some poison ivy like **** thats made my arm red and bumpy

- had some ****ing nice apple spirits that tasted like tangy apple and was about 15% proof
- did some good sh*t

I got conned into making an account there a couple months ago.
I log in everyday, but there's never any interesting bulletins, friend requests, or messages for me.
And in the rare event that there are, it takes, what, five seconds to read it?
So, I could safely say I'm logged into mySpace for at the most seven minutes every week.
Facebook is just a lot easier for me. Plus, crappy band requests don't flood my queue. I know you can disable them on mySpace, but since I don't take it all that seriously to begin with, I just don't care to disable 'em.

Setting: Kripes' living room
What's taking place: I'm watching Rock Countdown with my bro (and Co & Ca are the guests!!!:)).
Dialogue:
Panic! At The Disco-"Haven't you ever heard of closing a *beep*damn door".
Dad walks in room.
Dad: What got beeped?
Kripes (Ian): Godamn.
Dad: Oh sure, when a white guy says god they sensor it, but when a black guy talks about bitches, and hoe's it perfectly fine.

Heh, your father sounds like a good guy.

When I drive back to school tomorrow, I'm debating whether or not I should watch Carlos Mencia's new special.
What I'm debating is whether or not his material is going to be the EXACT SAME as his Comedy Central Presents: special (and apparently his show), or if he's going to surprise me and lay down some new material.
Five words I can fully expect to hear at least 208502834 times, if I do:
1. Beaner
2. Wetback
3. Mexican
4. Fence
5. Border
EDIT: and although this doesn't necessarily count: "DEH-DEH-DEH!"

I've slowed down on the review as well. It is hard to pump out a review every 6 months. Expect the next one sometime this summer.

Why not? Colleges have specific dates for you to attend. You can miss one day of school to take a tour. It will not kill you.
Then, you go again in the summer to your college of choice in June/July.
Then, you go to orientation in August.
Then, classes start.
Then, you work at Initech because you're a big pussy.

I would have to miss waaaaaaaay more than a day of school for that.
My dad cannot take time off of work unless he puts in for it ahead of time, and that deadline has already passed. The only time he'll be available is during the summer. Even if he had taken that time off, it wouldn't be enough. I'm looking at a school down in Florida and it will take a week alone just to visit that place. From there I need to check out Indiana and Pennsylvania. Considering the amount of driving and the time we'll have to spend in the area, it's going to take us 2-3 weeks to visit these places.

She wants to see then, and notice's two cds are Atreyu-The Curse, and Nirvana-Nevermind, she becomes upset and says she likes both of those bands a lot, and I can't sell them.
I'm now ashamed of my mom, I mean come on, Def Leapord was one thing, but now this?

He was one of the more recognized users on Sputnikmusic, either for sarcasm, or the shear number of high quality reviews he wrote, my personal favorites were Fall Out Boy: From Under The Cork Tree, and Modest Mouse: The Moon And Antarctica. At the end of a chaotic week in the last.fm world, an end to the drought of plays is not in sight. Reports are now coming in that the week between the 6th and 13th of March has yielded a measely 76 total plays, the lowest recorded amount since counting started in April 2005. Union officials have reacted badly, turning off the entire plug-in in a violent strike. "This strike will continue until we are guaranteed a higher weekly play rate!" Negotiations between the two sides have been slow, with both sides refusing to budge on their original demands.
The CEO of Liberi Enterprises however pointed towards other dips in the play rate over the last calendar year, suggesting that it was just part of the natural cycle "I don't see why they're making such a big fuss, the play rate will pick up in time."
Meanwhile, DJ Shadow enjoyed his 6th week in a row in the top 5, and as such was obviously delighted "It is quite an honour I have to admit." Forecasters are predicting another decrease in plays over the next fiscal week, but also stated that it should not affect the rankings too much.

Maybe it is just because their name is similar to Alexisonfire, but they sound intriguing. I guess I've always been one to judge books by their cover.
this is bartholomew walter higgins esquire the fourth reporting to you from the wastelands of what used to be the magnificent city of Au Dio Scrob Bleria...
this week, units of armies from all over the world have been probing and launching preliminary attacks upon each other
after much bloodshed and attrition, it is clear that italy has gained a massive advantage with their clever use of orchestral arranging, virtuosic vocals, and ever so distorted guitars in the veteran metal militia Rhapsody
rhapsody has captured about 28% (254/904) of territory in the city of ADSB...far beyond what any other unit has been able to accomplish this week
*zombies override the first barrier*
oh dear
anyway, even the total captures of acclaimed groups such as guns n roses, shakti/remember shakti, and massive attack (america/india/britain respectively) were only just able to compare to rhapsody's symphonic power metal tactics
all three groups, needless to say, were rather upset
guns n roses said rhapsody will soon feel the cold november rain
massive attack stated that there will be no sympathy for those italians, unfinished or finished
shakti babbled something about lotus feet
wait what
*zombies override the second barrier*
crap
when asked for comments about their success, rhapsody attributed their abilities to the "sweet violin solos, constantly pounding bass drums, really high vocals, and tr00 harmonizing metal guitar shredding"
it is interesting to note the rise of a military expeditionary force from japan, psycho le cemu, who has never set foot in ADSB...one can only wonder if their over the top uniforms will be able to fend off the dragon slayers from italy
*zombies override the third and final barrier*

Hey guys. Guess I'll be submitting a couple of reviews soon. I'm just here to say it because I lack motivation for some reason. Which is unfortunate because I love reviewing stuff, but often times simply find myself thinking about it and doing other things. They don't even take me very long, although I do research. I just can't bring myself to get going. I think I want them to be simpler/shorter. But I don't know how to do that without feeling like I'm cheating the reader. After my first round they seem to of expanded, to say the least.
And that's another thing. My consistency stinks. As I said above, my "first round". That was four reviews in four days last August. Then I did five more from the middle of January to the end. Since then, nothing. And I told Paul 150 I would complete the sputnik REM catalogue when he wrapped up his last REM review just over a month ago. That thing has been three paragraphs away from done for weeks :-\
Now I have a couple of other things I want to do and submit, but I feel like I should finish the REM thing first. Although perhaps I could skip it for now and start something else? Well, truth be known, I have. But not in earnest. I'm wondering if I just write in short bursts, basically, and if that's ok? A clump of reviews one month, another clump in another. I dunno?
Anyway, I'm just putting this out there in the community thread so I can commit to it. It's been bothering me. A review of some sort is coming from me by the end of the week! I swear on my Who vinyl it is. :(

Just read this on my favorite music news site:
Fans of Tool should mark the 27. April with their biggest marker in the calendar. On that day special "Get it F!rst" events will be held in 6 citys. Those will be record release partys one evening before the new Tool record "10.000 days" hits the street in Germany. People will be able to listen to the new album, as well as buying it for a special price before it is officially released. Furthermore participants can win a special Tool concert event. Winners will be able to watch the Tool show at "Rock am Ring" (One of the biggest outdoor festivals in Germany, editors note) from stage (!). They will also get festival tickets for the whole event. So, a visit may pay very well. The locations:
Berlin - Sage Club
Bochum - Planet
Stuttgart - Club Prag
Aachen - Nightlife
München - Keller
Frankfurt - O 25
And now guess who lives in the city that is bolded, and what club is one of his favorites :D This would rock so hard, Tool from stage...
About Nick though (Something Vague/Eliminator Jr.), he would get really emotionally depressed and talk to me about things I shouldn't be mentioning right now. But honestly though, I wonder where he really went. He told me that this site was primarily all he had to keep him busy. I just hope he didn't do something that we all would hate to hear. But this kid would constantly talk to me about his problems, and frankly, Im worried as to where he is and what he's doing.
EDIT: He was also on anti-depressants before he stopped using the site.

Thanks. I'm getting back with it. I suppose I shouldn't be concerned about when they come. If I get four or five or six in a month I'll be happy, I suppose. I guess my next round is coming up. Perhaps it's just a matter of getting started. As it is with any writing, of course. This, no different.

Here's my review
Cheeto-t - Anal Fire Ice Cream
There are times in life when you triumph to unexpected levels, levels so high, so extraordinary, that it changes the way the rest of us view the world. Cheeto-t's moment is with Anal Fire Ice Cream, a heart wrenching tale about an insane ice cream truck driver. The main character is so deranged out of neglect and past relationship problems with ice cream, that it becomes a tale of a man in a world that was never meant for him.
The music is mad raw to the super core, featuring simply poorly played atonal guitar, and Cheeto-t's angelic vocals. Cheet's voice is amazingly versatile, at an astounding 6 octaves, as he plays every character, from the deranged ice cream man, to the children he runs over. Cheeto's voice is raw too, screaming and narrating the story of despair, sometimes so raw, that he forgets the lyrics. But when he does remember them, they're the most passionate honest, beautiful lyrics ever created by man. From allegorical "Pizza and Condoms" to the satirical "Let's Play Penis!". Each word, each weird throat noise, has two meanings. Never has a writer been so universal, yet so hauntingly personal since the likes of Miller, Mailer, Plath, and Pinterrrrrr. It's amazing how much ground is covered in just 9 minutes, from views on the war in the Middle East ("Pubic Lice (Thomas Has it)"), to the racism that still plagues society ("maggie moo cow killer").
At first the guitar may seem poor, but remember, very crappy sounding guitar is tr00 indie. So anyone who isn't tr00 indie should just Bonham. Even though I just tried to, words cannot describe the beauty of this album. It's like seeing a rainbow, or watching a guy get hit in the nuts with a football, simply euphoric. Think of your favourite album and this will be 33.4 times better. It's so good Pitchfork has already given it a perfect 10, and the editors of NME commit mass suicide for neglecting it in their new special edition magazine "The top 500 albums involving Ice Cream". The Artic Monkeys said themselves that cheeto should've gotten the top spot instead of them.
I met cheeto-t at John Travolta's house for the album release party. When he told me I was an inspiration I went into cardiac arrest and almost died. The man is the saviour of music, and I am nothing compared to him. I listen to Anal Fire Ice Cream, then Highway 61 Revisited, and cry.
5/5

The great thing about the show is that every character is used well. Denise is new (well, the start of season 2) and she's had some pretty dull plot lines, but the direction they are taking her in is pretty funny. I love Paul (senior partner with the methed up daughter), Denny (Shatner) and Alan (the main character) grows on me every show even though he's a pompous git.

Umm well yeah that's weird that you wouldn't know, it seems like a Billy Bragg fan would go to a Billy Bragg concert or something

So a friend asked me over IM, after I told him I undug Converge and Poison the Well again: "Doesn't that hurt?" I wanted to handle the situation intellectual, and came up with the following statement:
"The pain of the sounds is just a mere reflection of the pain of life, that we are all exposed to everyday"
Being pseudo-poetic is darn fun :D

My high school talent show last night was retarded. The winner was a rapping Chinese person. The last actual band to play was called River City Ramson, and I think they're signed to Vigalante Records now. I'm not sure if that's a major label though.

We didn't have a talent show this year. If we did, I'd just play some weird bass solo and everyone would think i'm amazing, even though i'm not. Everyone at my school think they can play guitar very well, and suck horribly.

Though it might sound weird, but life expectancy is much to high here. If the current trend keeps on (2005 was the year with the least birth rate since the end of the WW2) the average age in Germany around 2050 will be over 50 years...
And regarding me old: It's just a weird feeling going all "Those crazy kids" when I am just 10 years older.

Same over here, the life expectancy just keeps on rising. After the war up until the 70s we had a baby boom too. Which means that tons of people are now entering retirement, and us younger fellas are paying the price. :(

You really have to wonder about that persons intelligence.
I have no objections to banning him, but I can't eliminate votes.

Man this sequence analysis of the ending of 'Rumble Fish (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0086216/)' is getting tiring. It only has to be about 2000 words in total, but I spent far too much time analysing the scene and not enough time putting that onto paper. Now I'm doing a typical mad rush to finish it, whilst trying to avoid having to stay up into the late hours of the night and early morning.
What made it worse is that my media teacher said Rumble Fish was a revolutionary film at the time of its release. Which makes it all the much harder trying to live up to the film itself. I should have just analyzed A Night at the Roxbury. :(

Hope you still get it done on time. I'm confident you will :)
Never heard of that film though, sometimes I get the feeling that I have some educational holes that I need to fill when it comes to movies and music. :(
Currently when I'm at home I am often victim of the "Air guitar of death". I'm good mooded, which often results in me moshing spastic through my room shredding on air guitar like a maniac to stuff like Fall of Troy or Heaven Shall Burn. I can not do it for more than half a minute though, as I'm absolutely dizzy after that, with everythin spinning around me
BTW. one thing I need to clear up:

Bloodtype - Occurence worldwide
0+ - 38%
A+ - 34%
B+ - 9%
0- - 7%
A- - 6%
AB+ - 3%
B- - 2%
AB- - 1%
I'm not the rarest, but 0- can be given to every other bloodtype out there without any problems. Which is why the blood donation service was very :upset: when I told 'em I would get a piercing (you're not allowed to donate blood within 12 months after a tattoo or piercing of any kind)

O+ is universal with other positive types,
O- is universal with other negative types,
you can't Give + blood to someone with a - blood type
but the group O is universal, to the corrosponding sign (+ to + and - to -)
if i remember right, O's can only recieve O Blood, not sure though
