Yeah, it was a good evening, though I feel like I have a total hang over though I have not touched one drop of alcohol last night
I'm seriously thinking about persuing a career in sound engineering. The only college in the state that offers it is MTSU, though. A little out of my range, unless I can stop being a slacker and get a free ride.
How far is it from your place? Or do you mean "out of range" in terms of bad grades?

I mainly meant price, but grades do play a role. In order to get a free ride you'd need a 26 on the ACT (which I still haven't taken yet) and a 3.5 GPA. I'm not sure what my GPA is but it's probably below 3.5. So that freshman year of slacking is really going to bite me in the ***.

That school has unbelieveably low standards.
But then again, it varies. The local university here in Toledo offered my brother a full ride going strictly by his ACT scores when his GPA in school was like a 3.4 or something.

And chances are, you're probably going to be a lot happier pursuing some other degree other than music
DFelon204409

Probably because no matter how much you love music, making a career out of it is going to kill your love of it. Going to the same job every day for many years is going to make you hate what you're doing.
For some reason, really amazingly prestigious music colleges don't appeal to me at all. I'd much rather go to some smaller private place with a respectable program and get an education there.
Both...In my experience, the vast, vast, vast majority of teenagers who want to pursue a performance or educational degree in music really don't have the natural talent required to do so.
And those who somehow make it without that kind of talent have to work insanely hard to get a job which pays extremely little and many of them somehow (at least partially) lose their love of music in the process.
That's why there are so many bitter music teachers :-)

Some stuff could have been done better, especially in the first third or maybe half of the movie. When the story unfolds further though, it get's better and better. Not necessarily Grade A material, but it was worth the money for sure
Pros: Good action sequences, good plot (especially in the second half of the movie), good visual effects, interesting future technology, Charlize Theron ;)
Cons: Plot weakness in the first half, acrobatics sometimes a bit overdone, cheesy intro narrator
My rating: 3.5 - 4/5

This cracked me up:
IN RESPONSE TO THE "RANDOM FACTS" THAT ARE BEING GENERATED ON THE INTERNET:
I'm aware of the made up declarations about me that have recently begun to appear on the Internet and in emails as "Chuck Norris facts." I've seen some of them. Some are funny. Some are pretty far out. Being more a student of the Wild West than the wild world of the Internet, I'm not quite sure what to make of it. It's quite surprising. I do know that boys will be boys, and I neither take offense nor take these things too seriously. Who knows, maybe these made up one-liners will prompt young people to seek out the real facts as found in my recent autobiographical book, "Against All Odds?" They may even be interested enough to check out my novels set in the Old West, "The Justice Riders," released this month. I'm very proud of these literary efforts.

yeah strokes are referred to as CVA's (cerebrovascular accidents)
the first one you mentioned is called an embolism (if it's a clot or fat) or a thrombosis (if it's gradual buildup of fat that blocks blood flow) and the second one is called a hemorrhage (ruptured blood vessels spilling into brain)
then there are infractions which is just death of tissue due to blocking of blood flow
strokes are REALLY scary because anyone and everyone can get them at any time :-\
in fact, nearly everyone has at least one "silent" stroke in their life...they're so minor that nothing is affected
