I have the PS2 version of Deus Ex and was thinking about trading it in and buying the PC version, but then I really like to play it on the TV which is obviously much bigger than a PC monitor. I was wondering what differences lie between the two editions, other than the obvious interface changes to make the change worth it.

http://www.deusex-machina.com/dxps2/interviews/interview1.asp This is all I can find on the subject. There really aren't many differences from the looks of it.

edit:

Differences from PC version:

Advantages:
- Four FMV's that would have otherwise been merely out of the engine (but the engine of the PC looked a lot better than the PS2's engine, so it wasn't that bad)

- Orchestral theme not in PC version.

- Radically different interface that may be considered more user-friendly.

Disadvantages:

- 640x480. 'Nuff said.

- Radically different interface that may be considered more ''simple''. (whether this is an advantage or disadvantage is up to you, the player)

- Less memory requiring smaller maps, causing the maps to be sliced up into smaller sections with annoying load times between each section, and some modifications in the maps.

- In PC version, JC's damage system was far more advanced.

- PC cost: $4.99; PS2 cost: 14.99

- Many other smaller things

Does the fact you need medbots to install augs change alot to the gameplay?

It means that when you find an aug you can't install it until you find a medbot. The only real changes to the gameplay are that you won't be able to use the aug for a while when you find it, and that it'll be taking up a space in inventory until it's used. So no, it doesn't change the gameplay much.
