Which version should I get?

Gamecube.

PS2 takes all the credit for every game. It should have stayed Gamecube Exclusive.

Yeah good point, also I can't imagine this game controlling as well on the PS2.

PS2 has more of the girl missions, extra costumes, and extra weapons.

GC version just has better graphics.

Gamecube version. Better graphics...and the PS2 version has Leon looking like a Scarface wannabe and Ashley looking like she's training for the Renaissance Fair.

Yeah but are those things even any good? It seems like they are just milking it.
Edit: to flying paul

ok

It has a lot of extra ada missions called seperate ways.
Extra levels
Extra costumes
Extra weapons (example: laser gun)

I'm guessing they're good. why get a game that doesn't have as much features?

I think visuals play a big part in this game, so why the game with lacking visuals that trys to make up for it with gimmicky things?

Does the PS2 one have longer load times?

Get the GC. The girl missions were gay anyway, and the new weapon looks stupid.

I'd say wait until the PS2 version actually comes out before you decide.

I reckon PS2 version if you've not played to before. Since it has extra missions and stuff and apparantly expands on the story. That is, if you don't mind about the graphics (I've heard it's less atmospheric in the PS2 version since they got rid of the fog and the textures are less detailed).

It's personal preference really.

GameCube.

I should pick it up from my friend, he has hardly played it since I let him borrow it.

Er... GC ?

Unless you want sub-standard graphcis and painful loading times...

I would have said to get the PS2 version just for the extra content but I've already played the GC version so my opinion is probably swayed by that. I can't really say for certain as I haven't played the PS2 version.

If you know someone who might get it for PS2, get the cube version then borrow the PS2 one to play the extra missions.

If the GC version is cheaper, then get that one. Then do what Amorpha said and borrow the PS2 version from someone you know.

PS2. Because of extras, otherwise the graphics are not that much different and yes I saw the two shots.

When playing RE4 a big factor of the game seemed to be the atmosphere they had created with the fog and whatnot, if they really have taken this out of the game than the choice is easily Gamecube. The PS2 extras seem pretty lame.

I just borrowed RE4 for GC, but I won't be able to play it until Monday :(

From what I've read, the graphics really aren't that different from the GC version. The game supposedly still preserves its original atmosphere. PS2 screenshots always look like ****, but Progressive Scan should help compensate for some of the jaggies and visual flaws of the system.

IGN seems to love it, so that's a plus.

They haven't taken out anything from the game. In fact the experience is supposed to be a bit better.

The extras are frankly just that---extras. Why wouldn't you want them even if you weren't going to play them? You get more bang for your buck.

Thats the route I would go.

Besides, new gun. I've been meaning to try it out. IGN seems to love it, so that's a plus.
Thats not saying much. :p
