Hello guys how are you doing here?
I'm just wondering
What would the difference be between a les paul classic and a les paul standard?
I'm saving up for a epiphone and I'm confusing about this
thanks

Standards have better pickups and are more expensive.
What scoot said.
You may wanna change the pickups eventually anyways, get the Classic.

Yea, thats what Guitar Center says it is, but it isn't. It's retail value is $999.99 but it's really only $500. They want to make you think you're getting a really good deal. All major retailers of just about anything do that. I have the same guitar: Epiphone Les Paul Classic Quilt Top. (I'm pretty sure, I thought I saw you talking about it in another thread.)

ya thats it, the special guitar center one, that part is true because you cant find the same guitar anywhere else, you acn find a similar one, but not with the chrome hardware or grover tuners...

still I don't quite get it
so does it mean if i'm getting a normal epiphone then the standard ones would sound kinda better than the classic ones?

The Standard will sound better stock, but it's an Epiphone, so as with any other Epiphone you will eventually want to change the pickups, I've been thinking about changing the pickups in my Classic. So you're probably better off getting the Classic since it's $100 cheaper (unless you get the Standard in Ebony). I've also heard that there is a difference in the neck.

No, Standards have covered pickups and a larger neck profile.
