wow... i bet he is still better than u

and u may think u can do tapping and kno scales etc

but i bet u dont kno how to use the scales efficiently or do tapping properly or i bet ur timing is completly off and since uve only been playing 4 months ur ear wont be as developed as his meaning u will think ur sogns r really good when others will kno its crap

and Dont be cocky about u knowing scales and crap not everyone is the same maybe he just learnt songs and "ENJOYED" guitar but wants to get more serious

Those things really have nothing to do with each other.

There are quite a few threads you can search for on harmonics that you can find. It is really easy to get down.

Tapping is also easy to get down and once you understand scales you'll be able to use it a lot better.

Pom Bear..i did not say i am better than him..dont put words into my mouth..i merely said that i knew those things..now i do know how to use scales especially in terms of soloing etc..and i can tap pretty good..not great but thats cause i dont spend too much time on it..i learnt it and yea thats it..but seriously if youve been playing for a few "years" wouldnt you think youd know what scales are..and dont say he may not have a teacher..the internet teaches scales and tapping also..

settle down people, i am quite good, give me a song and i can play it, but i really dont understand what people mean by things like 8 finger tapping, and i dont understand anything about scales, i know a few scales, but have no idea how they work.

neo 101 - sit down shut up. this is a forum for HELPING people, so give the guy some advice or shut the f*ck up.

coontc - theres loads of theory out there, and it can be all applied to any instrument. I know next to none of it, but do a quick search theres a good few threads on the technicalities of it all. good luck

Not everyone goes out there trying to learn more and more and get better and better.

Some people play for fun.
