M. Ward is good, Adam Arcuragi, Nick Drake, and, if you don't have it, I HIGHLY recommend you get "In the Reins" the Iron and Wine and Calexico collaboration.
NIck Drake's Pink Moon is probably the closest you will get to the Iron and Wine sound.
Adam Arcuragi is really good. Very much like Iron & Wine.

Municipal Waste are the most amazing thrash/crossover band I have ever heard.
Here's something if your into the whole street punk thing I guess, they're a local band around here. They're amazing live (last night I was there as a guy got pushed into the mic stand and chipped the singer's tooth), and just crazy energy-wise.

Oi! is easily the worst genre in punk, but if you insist, I recommend Oxymoron - "F'uck The 90's, Here's Our NOIZE!", 4 Skins - "One Law For Them", or Angelic Upstarts in generally are pretty good. My favorite Oi! band would have to be Major Accident, although I believe they're technically a "clockwork" band (what a lame-a'ss genre, amirite?) In any event, definately check out Major Accident if you dig Oi!

I saw a band called Eastfield in Kettering not so long ago and they were pretty fine, so fine I went to their next gig to. I hadn't heard of them before that, they were the support band and I was there for the main band but they certainly made an immpression on me. They have a myspace if you want to check them out. My other fave is Sick On The Bus. Their tune Set Fire To Somebody In Authority is pure class, if very, very short. I'd also recommend everyone checks out the Crud cast at link2wales.co.uk. It's done by Neil Crud who was the bass player for Q2. He manages to sober up enough to do a new one about every two weeks. and it's worth it for Welsh Swear Word of the Day if nothing else.:chug:

Relatively new to punk, only stuff that I listen to from the genre is the Misfits and Samhain. Recently d/led some Son of Sam, that was alright. Tried a bit of Against Me, not a big fan of that. I used to listen to a bit of the Distillers, but they're nothing special.
But yeah, feel free to recommend me anything. Or maybe, I should start from the beginning and work on the classics...?
