Has anyone ever come across an Energizer before?

No? Doesn't surprise me - that's the only one in the universe :D I just finished doing a custom paint job on my homemade bypass and although it's still a bit rough I'm totally happy with how it looks so far! Tomorrow I'll touch it up and seal it and then I'll be ready to confuse all the other bands at our gig that night.

Really cool, lad.
Though I'm a bigger fan of Duracel.
Although, gotta love that rabbit.

looks nice...

what was the total cost, and how long did it take?

30 of my Australian dollars were spent on the parts and I borrowed my sisters art supplies. I actuall built it months ago but only did the paint job tonight - it took about four or five hours I guess because of drying time and stuff. The biggest pain in the arse was making an 'Energizer' stencil. In then end the letters were too close so I had to make one "E_e_g_z_r" and one "_n_r_i_e_".

I had to drill out a metal box to make it

how hard is it to build a pedal?
fairly easy if you:
1. can solder well
2. can solder well in small cramp spaces
3. have a ton of patience
4. have a basic-moderate understanding of electronics
5. have spare time

what's bypasss pedal?
i think..THINK.. its used for switching between two differnet sets of effects, that way you can turn on 3-4 effects at the same time. thats just my guess because of all the input/output jacks.

(sorry for the double post)

I could have made one in my tech class. It really depends on which pedal. The one kid made a Tubescreamer and it was ridiculous. Anothero ne made an overdrive pedal that was extremely simple.

^yay i was right

Im going to build a customized fuzzface...maybe ill get the kit for my birthday or something. Its going to be sweet, have a switch that makes it fuzzy/bassy or more like an overdrive, prolly do the jimi mods too...hopefully it all goes well.

Thats awsome! I have always had the idea of incorpreting pedals in an amp. Like a DigiTech Metal Master as the rythm channel, u all know what i mean. That would be sweet!

Joe, as keeper of BYOC lore, you're needed here (http://www.musicianforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=404385)

That's where I got the inspiration for this actually - the BYOC site had pictures of some painted pedals.
