Gibraltar Intruder is a good pedal for the price.

Depending on preference, Flying Dragons are either hate it or love it....

If you got cash, Axis, IC Flexi Gilde but I recommend the Pearl Eliminator the most...

The Yamaha certainly looks like a sweet pedal - especially the direct drive one. Looks like a tank! And it comes with traditional beaters. I think I'm going to pick one up soon.

Come on people, let's learn to read. When the threadstarter is asking for pedals that are of reasonable quality and reasonably priced, suggesting pro pedals is pointless, a waste of your time posting it, a waste of other people's time reading it, and more importantly, doesn't help the threadstarter, which is why we are posting in this thread to begin with. When price is a factor, things like Iron Cobras, 5002s, Eliminators, Flying Dragons and anything else along those lines or more expensive are out of the picture really.

the price of the 4000 outweighs its value! the best VALUE dw is the 7000..only like $50 more than 4000 and it will last u about 10x longer

Save up for an IC or a DW 7000 (haven't tried those Flying Dragons by Yammie tho). But any of the two I said are great values for the money and will last FOREVER if maintain properly.

I like DW 4002, they may not be the best thing on the market but they get the job done and i have a friend that says they play nicer than his Iron Cobra (although i think he may have it set up badly)

Im thinking of going DW 5002 double instead, but the 4002 will keep me going for quite awhile yet

If you like the 4002 over the 5002, then get the 4002's.

Let your feet do the chossing. And get what ever feels the best to you.

Big Dog do some pretty sweet pedals, but they are only worth looking into if you live in the UK

...so... it depends where you are

As great a deal as that is, you should master singles first.

Double Bass Jim
10-20-2005, 07:07 PM
Theres no mastering anything, if you want DB you should start right away.

Thats like tying your left hand behind your back and working on your right hand only to get it stronger.

I'm going for 5002Same deal, but they are more than 300 dollars.

Actually to the person commenting about value on the Flying Dragons, they just lowered their price, you can now get the Flying Dragon Direct Drives for $249.
