View Full Version : Nintendo DS Online - WiFi Hotspots?

Hey.

Seeing the Nintendo DS goes online soon, i'd like to know how i'd be able to get mine online.

Seeing I don't have a Wi-Fi connection in my house, and don't really want to **** with my internet, I guess i'll have to use the Wi_fi hotspots around town.

Now I've found a few very close to me, a minutes walk or so, but i've heard that you have pay or subscribe to use these hot-spots.

Is this true? Or does it only apply to PC's?

And is there anyway of having a wireless router in my house just for my DS, and keeping my PC on Cable as it is?

just get yourself a wireless ethernet card, and a nice antanea for it, and walk around till you hit a hotspot, select it, and your on~

Ah, I just discovered that Nintendo are releasing a USB Device that allows you to connect your DS to a non-wireless broardband PC.

If the DS-Online thing ends up working, I'm totally buying a DS. But sorry Nintendo, Sony kind of already beat you to the punch on that. Still, I'd love to play Animal Crossing Online... :dreamylook:

november 14th same day mario kart ds is released. yeah i got this and my last post about paying from nintendo.com....

nintendo is going to allow 3rd party publishers to charge for online games if they want to - it is by no means forcing them to do so. you cant exactly complain because of that

The only ds game i find entertaining is nintendogs chiuaua edition. :-/

Congrads on getting one, I had nintendogs but returned it to Eb after 6 days, they were quite happy to give my hard money back.

can i ask why you returned it?


the only reason why i got it yesterday was because of castlevania being released this week. Im a die hard fan of the side scrolling style of castlevania and havent missed one :lol:

Returned because after 3 days of having it I couldnt stand to play another minute of it, it just got stale fast. But with that being said I guess it was never really my kind of game, I was playing more Advance Wars (Which I had owned for 3 weeks prior to getting Nintendogs) than Nintendogs on the day I got Nintendogs.
But I am abit of a freak for Advance Wars, over 100 hours played so far and still don't even have half the medals.
