Hey everyone,
So basically Family Guy is my favorite show, but I'm short on cash right now and I want to know if anyone has the new Family Guy DVD. Its a 90 minute movie about Stewie, and from the previews, it looked like somebody trying too hard to make a Family Guy episode... I don't know it didn't seem that funny.
So basically I want to get it because I'm a family guy freak, but like I said, I'm short on cash, so if you have it, or have seen it, can you tell me if its good or not? And how innapropriate is it? It says its "Unrated, and Uncensored" Cuz my little sister loves family guy, but I hate it when she watches R movies with me and askes me why I laugh at the jokes about "Semen" or "Orgasms" and what it is and stuff
And then, once thats answered, feel free to just talk about it all you want I guess.

It had some good parts, but the ending sucked and I think it lacked a little bit.

I enjoyed it; it was typical Family Guy. It just dragged on too long. Should've been an hour, tops.

Nothing too bad. I enjoyed hearing Lois and Stewie say ****, that's for sure.
I thought the ending was too cheesy but it was still kind of funny.

Yeah, the ending was the weakest part of the moive. Still, I enjoyed the movie immensely.
I have it, it's pretty bad for Family Guy. In fact, FG has been on the ropes since the start of season 5

There's a difference between a rip off and a spin off. Anyway, I love family guy :) If this DVD ever appears in Australia I'll snatch it up quick smart!

You DOOO realize it's not just "somebody" trying to make a Family Guy episode...it's the creators of Family Guy, not trying, but succeeding at making a Family Guy movie. That's why they call it a movie and not an episode...The point of the movie is that they can get away with alot of stuff the network won't allow, and yes, it's awesome.

Ok so I bought it, and JUST got done watching it, and I thought it was good. It was better than I thought it would be, and I was soooo expecting a bad ending, that I actually enjoyed it cuz my standards were incredibly low!
But why the hell were they pushing that it was "Uncensored"? They said F*ck like 7 times, and every time it was bleeped out!!! There was NOTHING in it that couldn't be shown on TV.
But yeah I liked it. I love Family Guy.

I downloaded it about 2 months ago. It was pretty funny, not as great as I expected it to be, but it deffinatly had its moments.
One of my favourite parts was when Stewie was drunk and was going to jump from the shelf into his high chair and didn't quite make it. That made me lol pretty good.

I liked it. One of my favorite parts was when the Liberty Medical guy was on tv
"I have diabetes and it hurts to pee and it causes me to be short with my family. I can't sleep at night, and the other day, I stubbed my toe and took it out on the dog. Two weeks ago I ran out of vanilla ice cream and punched my wife in the face. Then I found out my wife has been dead for 6 years. Who the hell did I punch?!?"

I liked this movie a lot I haven't seen the entire thing because I had to miss the very end because we left for a Coheed and Cambria concert but I saw most of it and it was really good. I have been a long time Family Guy fan and I just love the show. The movie was a good change. I thought it was funny Trisha is talking to those people at the beginning and she is like Mayor West do you have a couple words for the people he says something like "Maple Syrup, cookies, aluminum, no wait I take that back I'll save that one for later" I want to go out and buy it but I am broke.

Are you serious? I think it's the exact opposite. Like, the third season was fairly weak, the fourth season was pretty bad for the most part, but the fifth season is hilarious. I think it's some of the best episodes the show has ever had so far.

Because I doubt that McFarlane has anything to do with the advertizing of family guy. Those ads are done by Fox's marketing division.

Well, to most people, Family Guy is a continuous show. It didn't really have seasons, because they kept cancelling it and moving it and we got random new episodes for 3 years with no associated "season."
The 4th season is supposed to still be going on. They hadn't aired 3 episodes from the summer season and I'm not sure if the ones they are airing now are season 4 or 5 but there was no season premeir for family guy because it had only been off the air for about a month. Also, we've only had 3 "new" season episodes.
That said, Family Guy recently has taken a hit in quality, but American Dad has really taken off as it's pilot was pretty weak.
The movie was ok, but not great, which is odd. Remember, for a long time, the movie was all we were supposed to get. I think they may have borrowed from writing for the movie for newer Family Guys.

Well I don't have a job, I'm 16 and I only get money from my parents whenever they want to gimme some, and my Dad is so weird when it comes to spending money on DVDs. The truth is He just doesn't want to buy me anything but his excuse is "Oh DVDs are old technology. They are going to be exile in a year when the new stuff comes out, so don't buy any"
Isn't that how Technology works?

In a way he's right, Sony are making Blu-Ray disks which are a new format estimated to have comercial releases later this year acording to here (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blu-Ray). But the players are going to be backwards compatable with DVD anyway so his excuse is flawed.

Theirs another one called HD-DVD and theirs an article on that site aswell, But I'm putting my money on Blu-Ray as the more likely successor. Also remembering that DVDs came out in 96 and never really started to take of untill 2000/2001ish.

Yeah when I told my Dad about the Blu-Ray, he told me that theres a big scuffle going on between what will be the next socially accepted media player. Is the HD-DVD backwards compatible?

Does it begin with a little bit about Tom Tucker and Diane Simmons covering the Griffins' on the red carpet? I just want to know, I would be surprised if I had picked out a right version out of all those other bad torrents.

Even though I already have this, when I was at a "Wherehouse" today (its a cd store that also sells dvd's and some video games.) it was $29.99!!!! I got it for 19.99 at Costco and I thought even that was a little pricey for it. But $29.99 is rediculous.

I was pretty dissapointed in the movie. While it did have soem funny parts, it was lacking also at times. It's definetly worth a rental, but I'm not too sure about the buy. I ahven't watched the extra stuff on there though, don't know if there's any anyways, but all in all the episodes are far better.
My favourite part of teh movie was teh Jesus scene though, that made me laugh pretty hard :)
