Winner of week 3
(K) to the sole winner of week 3, a man who is larger than life with a week 3 record (and best result of the season) with 12-2, he goes by the name of drummingismylife. Congrats to all those who got into the double digits for wins, and there were quite a few.
OK? You can thank Liberi for that quote.

Do you like any Texas teams?
I'm not a huge Dallas fan, but I do like the Texans. I also like the Astros and Rangers (MLB) the Mavericks and Spurs (NBA) and I don't mind the Dallas Stars (NHL). I'm more of a Denver/Colorado fan.
I'll admit though that the Cowboys don't look that bad this year. They had some close games, and lost that game that they should have won the other night, but they made that up for that come from behind win against the 49ers.

For some reason, i love all North Texas teams, i cant stand the Astros, mainly because they are always on TV and never the Rangers.

some tough spreads this week, some games may be easy to pick but if you see the spreads in the paper it's pretty rough
but we don't go by spreads here so lets go :D
Buffalo vs. New Orleans - Buffalo - you know i always gotta pick them
St. Louis vs. New York Giants - St. Louis - looked impressive last week
Seattle vs. Washington - Seattle - flipped a coin on this one
Houston vs. Cincinnati - Cincinati - unstoppable as of late
Denver vs. Jacksonville - Denver - rough call
San Diego vs. New England - San Diego - upset of the week!!!
Indianapolis vs. Tennessee - Indianapolis - tight D and good offense
Detroit vs. Tampa Bay - Tampa Bay - extremely stingy D
New York Jets vs. Baltimore - Baltimore - they're bound to win one :p
Dallas vs. Oakland - Oakland - them too
Philadelphia vs. Kansas City Kansas City - near unbeatable at home
Minnesota vs. Atlanta - Atlanta - running game is too much for Vikings
San Francisco vs. Arizona - San Francisco - battle of the shits
Green Bay vs. Carolina - Carolina - i won't pick them til they win, if they ever do...

Buffalo vs. New Orleans
If Losman can do alrite against this complicated defense then it'll be an easy win for the Bills, but if Losman struggles then it could go either way.
St. Louis vs. New York Giants
The Rams should be able to provide just enough ample protection to help Bulger sneak away with another win.
Seattle vs. Washington
Sure Brunell looked 10 years younger in the 4th QTR of the game against Dallas, but it won't happen again this week.
Houston vs. Cincinnati
One team is heading towards the playoffs while the other is heading towards 1st pick '06. I'm sure you can guess which one is which.
Denver vs. Jacksonville
Should be a low scoring, running based game. A toss up.
San Diego vs. New England
Sure the Pats will probably win, but I've got a feeling about this one. A feeling that is no doubt wrong. :-/
Indianapolis vs. Tennessee
This will be the week the Peyton and crew finally unleash.
Detroit vs. Tampa Bay
Tampa's D will rattle Harrington early on and force mistakes. Could be a very close game.
New York Jets vs. Baltimore
Losing Pennington was a big loss, even with his cruddy shoulder. I doubt this game will make it into double digits.
Dallas vs. Oakland
Sure Oakland are 0-3, but they had 3 tough teams to start the season. While the Cowboys had one impressive win against San Diego.
Philadelphia vs. Kansas City
Sure Philly are all banged up, but Westbrook should be able to help divert enough attention away from McNabb to free him up and win this shoot out.
Minnesota vs. Atlanta
The Vikings proved last week that they aren't as bad as people thought, and should prove once again that they could make a run for the playoffs. In the end I believe Atlanta will have just enough fire power to win this one.
San Francisco vs. Arizona
Arizona aren't a playoff caliber team like people predicted, but they aren't as bad as their record shows. They're ever so slightly better. :)
Green Bay vs. Carolina
Carolina'll shut down the run early and force Favre's old hand.

I'm projecting we don't get a win until week 7 against the Browns. But the Benglas game shoulda been different. That fumble call was terrible, Carr throws side arm alot and thats what it looked like. They still need to get Andre Johnson involved more because when his contract runs out I don't see him coming back with the way things are going right now.

I read this on another board.
(Green Bay) - A seven-year-old boy was at the center of
a Green Bay courtroom drama yesterday when he
challenged a court ruling over who should have custody
of him. The boy has a history of being beaten by his
parents and the judge initially awarded custody to his
aunt, in keeping with child custody law and
regulations requiring that family unity be maintained
to the degree possible.
The boy surprised the court when he proclaimed that
his aunt beat him more than his parents and he
adamantly refused to live with her. When the judge
then suggested that he live with his grandparents, the
boy cried out that they also beat him.
After considering the remainder of the immediate
family and learning that domestic violence was
apparently a way of life among them, the judge took
the unprecedented step of allowing the boy to propose
who should have custody of him. After two recesses to
check legal references and confer with child welfare
officials, the judge granted temporary custody to the
Green Bay Packers, whom the boy firmly believes are
not capable of beating anyone.

The Jaguars and Panthers came into the NFL when the salary cap was relatively new. A lot of teams were in cap trouble and thus, the Jags and Panthers got some pretty good, albeit expensive, veterans. The Texans got **** in the expansion draft because teams had the salray cap pretty much figured out by 2002... Even the Browns didn't get much out of the expansion draft in '99.

As far as I know, next week is the last week to start counting (and be in the running for the title). So newcomers don't be put off making your picks!
Oh and remember that all the people who have only started picking recently will have an advantage over the people that have been doing it since week 1, so don't take your placings too seriously at this stage.
