Oblivion!!!!!!

It is on it's way! The sequel to The Elder Scrolls: Morrowind, Oblivion. Available for the PC and XBOX 360, it has enhanced graphics, new "raidiant" npcs(which make them interact with their environment and makes them do different things such as eating, going to bars, farming etc.), and all new quests etc etc etc....

Anybody hear about this game or are excited for it? Or for that matter have played Morrowind?

I'm pretty excited about it. I loved Morrowind, played it a lot. And from what i've seen and heard it will be a major improvement. At least two of Morrowind's problems seem to be solved - lifeless NPC's and horrible character animations. It will also feature the Havok physics engine which will allow you to use the telekinesis skill to literally throw stuff around, there will be no more random hit/misses in combat... seems like they did their best to ask the community about weak points that Morrowind had and tried to improve those. And it looks real nice, one of the better looking next-gen titles so far.

The only real problem with the Elder Scrolls games is that they severely ruin your social life.

Yes, Oblivion looks muy bien. But, has ANYONE seen Project Offset? It's like Elder Scrolls, but with more emphasis on combat.

I play the 'Elder Scrolls III' game.

And it is my favourite, besides the 'Metal Gear Solid...' Series.
I shall certainly be looking out for the new 'Morrowind' installment...

Oblivion is going to be, by far the best release game and quite possibly the best game of the year for the 360. each character is supposed to have actual facial expressions and the way they are supposed the react to thier environment is going to be awsome. also each person is supposed to be fully voiced over.

i just hope they still have that one lady who would always say...

I have an awesome Nord. Level 15 at the moment, Ive played the game for so long now with other characters but I have never completed it or even come close to doing much of the main quest as I fear I will lose interest in the game but I will complete it before Oblivion so I can get the feeling for the story. I have read all the books in game that I have found so I know my Morrowind and all the history that comes with it.

I didnt play it for about 3 months during exams and the Music really struck me and was in shivers and I got really emotional lol

But yeah what a great game!!!

Not all Redguards have ginger hair, only a few of them do. They're basically black dudes with names like Lamario and Toddwendy and they make very good warriors. I'm not sure but i think they also jump higher.

If you do the missions for Bloodmoon, yes, you will become a Werewolf, as it is part of the storyline.

I'm rooting for that person that says:

"I don't even remember casting a spell of teleportation, and there I was, naked and alone." Or something like that.

I haven't tried an Argonian myself. But resistance to disease is pretty convenient. There's nothing as annoying as being stuck in the middle of nowhere, having to drop some of your precious loot because you're weakened by disease and you suddenly can't carry your stuff anymore. And i think Argonians can breathe underwater too, which is nice of you go diving for pearls or looting underwater caves.

i played as emperor. my character had so much charisma i could sell a piece of blank paper, normally worth one credit for nearly 1000 credits without using emperor's voice

Here's what i've heard:
That's true. But the random terrain won't be generated on your computer, they just use randomization to build the final product. Everybody has the same terrain on their disc. It's just that the world is so vast and detailed that it's getting impossible to handbuild everything from scratch so they created a tool that generates terrain for them. They can always manually edit details, but it will save them a tremendous amount of work.
You supposedly give it parameters such as minimum, maximum and average temperatures, rain, wind, etc. and it will calculate how vegetation and erosion would have developed under those conditions. I wouldn't be surprised if it's going to be a part of the construction set on the PC version.

PS. If any of you haven't played "The Underground" mod for MW, it's awesome. You play as a human or vampire in a vampire community. The storyline/quest is about as long as the main quest.
