Webrip reviews?

I was wondering what the policy on this is. You see, there's an album I'd like to review which is being hosted on the Internet legally by the band, but it's out on October 18th. Would there be a problem in reviewing this, since it's technically not an advance?

Hm, I'm afraid we can not make an exception to the rule here. Basically, everyone posting a review before the album is released could state "I got it legally from the web where it is hosted legally by >person XY<".

Feel free to write the review if it's hosted by the band itself (as one can say it is accurate and they won't post a pre-production version. At least I don't think they would..), but I'll have to ask you to not post it before it is officially released. Sorry

Yeah, I understand what you mean. Alright, I can wait. It's a bad web stream anyway, probably best to wait for the CD and for better quality anyway
