To 1omega3:

Yeah, that was really badly mixed dude. It sounds like it could be musically there, but I honestly can't hear anything. I highly reccomend that you get yourself some better gear. It's a pain in the arse getting em when you're a musician, because they're expencive motherfu*kers, but there's nothing worse than people thinking you're sh*t because of a dodgy recording.
Get into a few cover bands (or get a job) and use the cash to get some better equiptment dude.

Ya. That's more or less what I've layed out for the other boys, we're still working on a few things in it. Juliet's Blood is my pride and joy . The drumming Matt (our drummer) puts in is about 960.2% cooler that what I did.

Hmm. I listened to the Acaustic (yes, I know I can't spell it) song.
Your guitar sounded a little out of tune, and i could only pick up bits and peices of your vocals (you seemed to be mumbling a bit). My advice, next time you record somthing acoustic (whoot, spelt it right!) try recording it in a bathroom, or cave, or somewhere with some nice reverb; 1) because it sounds nice 2) best natural foldback around brother!

Yeah, from what I heard your ability would be about the same as mine (which is not that crash hot) :thumb: . But you do have voice on you, you just have to pick a melody and stick to it.

What I'm getting into the habit of now, it practicing my singing using a keyboard, playing the melody I have to sing. I reccommend you do the same dude :thumb: .

Yeah the quality really sucks, It was a live recording and the sound was taken off of a video Camera. We will be in the studio this week and will have a much better recording soon. Look for our record Full Contact Poetry coming soon.

Horray for video camera sound! *cough*

Actually, I highly reccommend you spend some cash on getting a nice condencer mic, and use that to record yourself live. After listening to Wrong Down and not really being able to hear the lyrics and the kick (the guitar solo kicks ***, by the way) I'm half tempted to fire up my editing software and equalise everything.

Having a multitrack plugged into the inserts in the mixer and a condencer mic behind the audience is the best way to record a live sound.

the song "Degenerate Son" itself is well written, but there are some things i would advise fixing.

first of all the tones. the bass needs more treble and a little tiny bit more mid to be stronger and more solid. also, the guitar is really thin and buzzy sounding. it needs some more overdrive, or just more midrange.

also to fix the guitar from sounding so thin and empty, i recommend playing more full chords than powerchords just to get the fullness in there. and during the guitar solo, try recording the solo as a second layer so nothing drops out.

try finding a new drummer.

Which song did you listen to to say that?
(Pandemic) It was the first time we played pandemic and the others were telling me to play really simple things until we find what to put in that song. Listen to the drums bands like anathema have. It doesnt have to be quick or difficult to be good. I know the drums in this song are lame but I dont play usually that kinda stuff and didnt have imagination.
I'm not trying to save myself from the embarassement!!!
Want to discuss further if you dont have a problem with that....

Its some improvisational jam sessions recorded at a school practice room in the music class. Theres a lot of outside ambience which kind of adds to the dissonant effect of the instruments. The recordings were mainly fueled on stoneage. And bear in mind it is improvised so it does go off a bit but it has a thick flow over all.

Ummm... thanks man. I've lived in G-Town about 3 years now. The last 2 doing a jazz course. I don't have a car and so i was alwys hard pressed to get into a band. It's funny cos for a long time i've been in a jazz band they come get me cos they know what i'm capable of. As soon as I get a guitar i'll be in Melbourne. Then i won't be doing resterant gigs when none of the people are listning to what i'm doing and none of them will know that there's eating dinner to JQF. O well those are the s*** from which the flower of better gigs grow. Thanks for the feedback!

Everything played by me except drum machine (though i could play it if i brought my drums within a few hundred yards of recording equipment) and my friend plays the flute in one song.

This link is for the band the my two brothers formed. My oldest brother played the guitar in the sonds and he also did the mixing. My youngest brother sang some of the other songs and played the guitar. I've played the drums for them when they've performed live, but they used a drum machine for the recording.

The recording isn't perfect and it is our first. I do lead guitar and backup vocals.

We did a cover of My Sharona by The Number Twelve Looks Like You.

Condemned is my main band. We have songs on local radio and are rehearsing with new drummer and bassist to play shows soon.

Ausgeblutet (Bled to Death) is my solo project, things that the band didn't like or that I wrote on the side.

Afterlife of Sorrow is my acoustic/soft rock project.

I don't have a band, but I'd like to meet some musicians in my area and start one..
I recorded a couple things myself, but I'm no pianist, and I started singing only a couple months ago.
my site will be updated after I smoke this joint hopefully... lol..
