Me and my friend covered this. We are awesome. He is doing vocals, keys and half of the harmonies at the end, I am doing both guitars and harmonies all the way through. The guy who helped us with recording it did the tambourine.
This is a rough mix, and the guitar was made super-reverby as a joke, and left that way, we are going to ease up on the reverb -a lot- when we finish mixing it.
Give it a listen (this is a link for the stupid people) (http://www.purevolume.com/bennyl).
The Jazz thing is something i did a while ago. listen to mad world.

cheesy music. the recording isn't all that bad though, but the guitar sounds crappy.

Hehe, The piano sounds like it belongs in a Western Bar
Recording is decent quality, singing I would say is ok but sounds kinda...forced? If that makes any sense....yeah work on the guitar quality, sounds really out of place.

first off, glad to see someone from toronto on here
now the song.. its not as horrible as some of the stuff on here, its different from whats normally on here, so thats cool. i can see you have talent. the vocals were ok, but they sounded like they were the same throughout, not much contrast.
overall, not bad. :thumb:
I agree that the music does sound cheesey.
I liked the vocals though.

Sorry, But i didn't really like it. However, I think the reason i don't like it is just a personal preference; someone else would love the things i don't like so... - The vocal style didn't suit the song, in my opinion. I would imagine that a softer style would suit better. Not the sing loud, sing proud in this case.
I personally, wouldn't have the guitar [Just sounds out of place...] in there as much; if any - It'd sound cool just as a piano and vocal thing.

That song really doesn't work with so much going on..
There's a reason the version with piano + vocals got so popular
