Sorry, I usually don't post in the video game thread, but I find this rather exciting if they do it.

If they do release this, hell yeah I'm getting a PS3. This is the best game of all time and I'd love to play it with better graphics.

I don't think they are re-releasing it. I'm pretty sure it's just something so that can say "look how pretty our console can be".

When FF7 was released on the PS1, sales of the console rocketed.

The same could happen if it was re-released for the PS3.

You underestimate the will power and persistence of a diehard gamer. If fans see a PS3 FFVII remake released, do you think they're going to care about the price? Of course not. They'll pay nearly any amount of money for a legendary game rendered like that because they're so hardcore about gaming.

I have to say I'm one of them. While I'll most likely be getting a PS3, a FFVII remake will shatter any ideas of me getting a Revolution instead. I would pay a lot of money to get FFVII for PS3.
