Bring down the hi-hats by quite a bit.
And then bring down the rest of the drum kit *just a little* a tiny decrease.
The guitars are recorded nice and hot and mix well with the bass.
The vocals sound quite harsh, but not in the good way. Possibly the microphone you're using, or just pushing it a bit too much and getting a bit of unwanted disortion. I think the vox in this piece could do with a nice warm condenser like the MXL 990. A pop shield will help as well, in some quiet sections of the song when the vocals come up in volume there's a rush of air which doesn't help.
Good guitars though.
Thanks for replying
Im the bass playing.. and spent ages on my sound before the band came over so im very happy you didnt say anythign critcal about that
We used a sm57 for the vocals.... i have been wanting to get a condenser for a while, and have looked a the MXL 990's mainly coz of the price :).... so u would recomend one?
