Actually you can attach the remote to a control and use that.

EDIT: And there is also a motion detected control that is attached to remote. Overall I think the controller looks the most original out of all 3 systems.

I think it's awesome. At least Nintendo are trying to do something new which will make the games more fun rather than just putting in more memory and processing power like some other console manufacturers.

Besides, you can use a normal Gamecube controller as well if you really don't want to use the TV Remote thing.

Says the guy with the largest dildo collection in the world.

Do you bother reading all the facts? Not all the gameplay is done on the remote! It comes with a controller for you to insert the remote into, the remote adds to the creativity of the new things you'll be able to do.

I hope Rancid neg reps you for the rest of your life.

See you auntie!

No, it is a remote, but the threadstarter thinks that's all that comes in the box: a remote. The truth of the matter is that along with the system, comes the remote, the actual controller, and the joystick thing. PS2 has a remote, yet everyone loves it. Nintendo's just trying to be a bit different, rather than be like Pepsi and copy what everyone else is doing.

It's possibly the coolest controller ever made. Do you even know anything about it?

See you auntie!

And I repeat: it's not a remote, learn to ****ing read.

The way you MOVE the controller around, translates itself in actions on the screen. The thing has the shape of a remote, because it's easy to hold it in one hand. It's not exactly rocket science, is it?

I know how to move the thing. I've read multiple reviews. I refer to it as a remote to prevent confusion between the rectangular device that everyone thinks it's the only thing you can use to play games with, and the GameCube shaped controller.

The controller is the reason why I'll be buying the Revolution over the Xbox 360 (besides lack of $)

It will be so much easier and natural for FPS's now, imagine playing a Time Crisis type game on it. It's supposed to be extremely accurate as well. All the Nintendo Revolution needs now is a killer FPS franchise and it'll be the best out there. Like having an arcade light-gun in your console.

It's not a remote, or even a controller, it's a motion-sensitive magic wand. Pure genius.

cough metroid cough

I'd imagine it hard to play stuff like super smash bros. though :(

Which is why the optional GCN shaped controller is included.

Do you guys KNOW WHAT A REMOTE IS??? It is something that you use to control something at a faraway difference. I'm not saying it's a Television remote that set's your volume. It has BUTTONS. It can be used AS A REMOTE. I like the idea, let's just leave it at that. I support it and think it is genious. I'm just trying to get the threadstarter to understand that it doesn't just change channels.
