Hello friends at the Musician Forums,

I'm a guitar player and singer in a band called Four Hours Straight (subject to change). We cover a variety of music, but mainly classic rock. You can download some mp3's of our recordings at http://fhs.dmusic.com. Mainly covers but a few originals.

Thanks,
Craig

i listened to interstate love song, purple haze, and with arms wide open.

interstate love song - the instruments were well played, but the singers voice ruined the song.

purple haze - i loved it. the vocals werent the greatest, but they sounded alot like jimi hendrix, so it was kinda cool.

with arms wide open - the instruments were good, but again, the vocals were just not good. he sounded like a cross of cher and the guy from nickelback.

all in all, the band is impressive, especially because of purple haze. i think you'd be better off with a better vocalist tho.

keep up the good work :thumb:

Pretty solid. I liked the drumming on Purple Haze a lot, just didn't capture Hendrix' voice real well.

The guitar work was ok, but the singer has something weird about his voice, a strange "honkyness" to it.

This was very impressive.

The Vocals on Purple Haze need a bit of improvement. Your vocalist shouldn't try to sing like other people, but more like himself, it'll add more energy into a song, plus then he isn't straining his voice.

Born to Wild was VERY VERY impressive, I thoroughly enjoyed that. Your drummer and guitarist are very impressive, and the vocals sounded good.

Just listened to Jethro Tull cover. The Drum part after the kind of chugging verses is wrong. The timing should be slower with crashes and not high hats. Wheres the flute??? I want flute!

Thanks for the comments. We play covers our own way, usually faster and heavier. We don't try to play covers exactly like the originals because if every band sounded the same, it would get boring.

To soadfreak2121, glad you like the singer's voice, you're not the first person to compare it to Jim Morrison.
