this is just a sampler of one of our songs, but i'd like to get some imput on the broad aspects of the recording. we're new at this so we basically played it by ear as far as recording goes. but tell us what you think of playing, tone, production, whatever.

thanks

not bad except the riff behind the solo at the very start is the same as one from an incubus song. Good guitar work though...I find fast guitar like that pretty boring and preffer songs, but thats just personal opinion. production wise its pretty good.

The drum quality is meh, the rest is pretty good.

You're getting alot of buzz from your guitar which is making the track muddy.
Everything on the drumkit lacks presence apart from the hi-hat.
Kick drum definately needs more punch and bringing up, as does the snare.

Overall the guitar buzz is hurting the track most.

haha, what incubus song?

im confused about the guitar buzz. we really tried to emliminate the dead space for the most part, unless your talking about the little noise that comes in before my first guitar solo, which is the second on the recording. please explain, because we'd really like to make this as cool as we can! :thumb:
