Ummm....ok. My advice would be to start learning how to read music and get an official transcription of it. Barring that.....

each octave is made up of 5 black keys and 7 White keys (well, 8 if you count the 8th, but that's also the first one in the next octave). See how there are groups of 2 black keys followed by a space and 3 more black keys? The white key to the immediate left of the first(from left to right) black key is C. The next one is D, E, F, and so on. Each of the black keys represents a sharp or flat (depending on the key). So, the black key inbetween C and D is either C# or Db.

If that didn't make sense, I recommend you try this:

1. Both of those tones can be found on an Alesis Micron. Go to guitar center, buy one for $400.
2. If you don't know the notes, get a KEYBOARDIST. They're quite handy.

That's not a very cost-efficient method, so I'd avoid that.

It's a great keyboard. I believe I've been on this forum longer than you. $400=great deal.

THIS forum. P/K vs. wherever he was for the last few months.

Freakmeeko, a few things:

1. The guy is asking for advice on how to learn. Telling him to get someone else to do it isn't exactly going to help him is it?

2. The length of time someone has been a member on a forum means **** all. Get over it.

I believe $400 isn't bad if you want those tones. It's hard to play songs like Jump with a crappy sound off a beginner's keyboard.
