This is getting rediculous. Most people on here hate them and the new album and some people love it, done we all know that. Can't we just stop fighting? Who cares if some people want to be close minded or if some people wanna screw Tom Gabel, its just super boring now. Crime was the best recording ever, reinventing is the best full lenght, the new album isn't anything too special.

Hey Everybody,
First of all thanks to every one that has added us and sent us love and encouragement, we really appreciate it. For reals. We cannot wait to see all you guys on the Fat tour, it's gonna be amazing. On to the news............

Our video "Don't Lose Touch" is up on the Fuse site in the Daily Download section. Just click on the Daily Downlaod, then you'll find us listed under the picture of the MXPX dudes. Check it out when you get a chance.

And there's also this news straight from fatwreck.com:

Against Me! update: on TV, with Green Day...

It seems that everybody wants a piece of these guys! If there's any interested parties out there, I have a pillow that their merch girl Jordan used when they crashed at my apartment last time. On to the news: Against Me! will be playing Late Night with Conan the Destroyer on Monday, September 26th; will be playing in L.A. with Green Day on October 8th; interviewed on FuseTV October 4th; and they're in the next issue of Rolling Stone. Rolling ****ing Stone! They cover people like George Lucas and ****. So, Ergo... Against Me! is as big as Star Wars! The ORIGINAL Star Wars, not that new ****.

They gave a pretty good interview in AMP magazine(I dont like the magazine that much but its better than them being on the cover of alternative press.[or them going to be in rolling stone])

I just got to see them yesterday night at the chance and they were just phenominal. They even played Baby, I'm an Anarchist and Impact. And 3 encore songs. Who else was there?

Oh and Jack Terricloth (if you dont know who he is, for shame) He said this on his "ask jack" little thing on the w/ifs site:
Q. For the last few weeks my friend and I have traveling living by the flip of a coin affectionately known as Buff. With chance guiding us, we hope charm would carry us the rest of the way; we took a 17 hour bus ride to Tennessee once and later tried to hitchhike home. It feels like our travels are at an end so now we turn to the advice of a stranger: How do we get out of Florida?
A. Ask Against Me! (Why are they so paranoid? Has anyone out there actually been against them? Sure some one stole their demo tapes and slashed all their tires but when your name is Against Me! you give people ideas. From now on I shall refer to them as "Pro-you!"). I've always concentrated on the staying out of Florida part of the problem. Say hello to Buff.

It felt like it, but not as much as if I saw them at like the loft last spring(which had a really bad setlist besides those anarcho punks and impact). At places like the chance you cant just go on stage and start singing with them cause the ****ing monkey men bouncers kick you off.

Although one girl did manage to get up there for the last song which I thought was pretty awesome.

So I don't know it all depends on how your feeling when they play. But if we're being completely literal, no, not as intimate. Not as intimate as if say you went to plan-it-x fest when it came to brooklyn, its not gonna be like that anymore.

Yeah, the Loft is definately better than the Chance. Other than the venue limitiations, the atmosphere is pretty much the same though, just one big sing-along-dance-party. I think they're getting to be bigger, but I really don't see them becoming Greenday-sized, or even Anti-Flag.

And I might have a few more clips soon, not sure of what songs. I'll post them when I get them.

TheNowhereman42

So heres a taste of irony for that last statement

Against Me! will be playing with Greenday in LA on the 8th.
They will be on Late Night with Conan this friday.
They will be interviewed by Fuse on the 4th.
They will be in the next issue of Rolling Stone.

I still love em, but somehow I think when I see them at Fat Tour it just won't feel like it did a year ago when I saw them and The Blood Brothers. I'm seeing more kids at school with shirts & bumper stickers and the like as well.

Actually most the people on the AM! boards supported AM! It was a select few that made joke threads about them.

Nice guess though. Plus I don't see how they were being abused, it was just a few kids calling them t3h sell outz. That's hardly abuse.

EDIT: Oh wait. No you're right that's probably why they closed the boards. But there were far more likers than haters.

No it
Doesn't hurt,
Everything just is and that's just how it's gunna be.
There was a party born at 15,
Now it's dead at 20,
Gone with all those friends,
Gone with the people we used to be.
You know we
Never needed highschool,
Together we agreed that when asked,
We'd say "**** you, I don't need anything you have to offer,
As long as we have eachother."
(Now that we rose up above.)

Now we've
Made these choices together
Got the bad tatooes to prove it
Shot into my arms these are mistakes
This is the scar
And these are the stories of victory
The story of how we grew apart
Now I
I'd take a bullet
Or I'd spend the night in jail
(Quitting a job
Living in town til nine)
But still I'd say I'm so sorry
and if I could change anything
I'd bring us back here again
I know we're not comin' back here again

But I agree about "don't lose touch", it's a boring song. It doesn't matter if its a single or not. I don't think any of us look at it that way. Most of us don't like the song because it's bad, not because of how popular or unpopular it is.

don't worry, I don't think anyone on here thinks they "sold out"
Johnny Quest does.

I'll be interested to see what they have to say in Rolling Stone, even though it's probably just gunna be the same crap.

oh yeah, I had forgotten about that, I wonder if it's an article on them or just an album review?

i will agree that some of the songs (namely justin) are just sub-par filler songs. I think that the 3rd and 5th tracks from that stolen demo would both have been better choices. both have great lyrics and were both great live tracks too.
I think you're right. Those tracks should replace Violence and Justin.

id be very interested to see rolling stone review the clarity record. id love to see their rating.

on conan though....they just seemed out of place. they looked like david in front of goliath...not knowing what the hell they were doing there.

I'm a little peeved.
On Fuse when that guy asked them about unprotected sex he said "so I guess we wont be seeing you on a major label soon" and they didnt say no. A year or two ago and they were given that question they would have laughed it off and straight up said no.

I'm losing faith.
In AM!
Also I was wondering is there a band where their new music is better than their old stuff? I can't think of any off the top of my head.

there are a few bands whose new music is nearly the same as their old music...but I can't think of a group who has better new music. sometimes is not good or bad new...just different...too

I think that AM! should bring there forums back.

Anyone know why they aren't back up yet. Stevo or whatever said it would be down for no less than a week to change servers. It's been a few months now...

Psssh, what a crappy reason. A quick IP ban would get rid of them for good. If I were a mod there would have been like..1 one thread and a warning. Anymore threads and they are gone.
